Gu Ya certainly couldn’t control her in that matter.
Once Su Yunjin had made up her mind not to take the medicine, she didn’t plan to take it anymore.
If she didn’t take it, Su Yunjin didn’t believe Gu Ya could force her to do so.
When it was time to sleep, Gu Ya and Su Yunjin still slept separately, one inside and the other outside; Su Yunjin took the inside spot on the bed, and as she lay down, all she could think about was her elder brother, Su Muze’s issues today.
Her brother Su Muze wasn’t home for sure because something was going on—it couldn’t be as simple as her parents and second sister said, just going to town to work.
Her parents were keeping something from her.
Su Yunjin couldn’t understand, what exactly was her brother Su Muze involved in?
Why would her parents and second sister hide it from her so deliberately?
Could it have something to do with her?
Because it was related to her, was that why her parents and second sister were keeping it a secret from her?
With these thoughts, Su Yunjin felt even more baffled.
Turning her head, Su Yunjin rolled on her side to look at Gu Ya, and seeing that he hadn’t fallen asleep yet, she spoke, “Husband, my elder brother isn’t home, and I’ve realized my father and mother are hiding something from me. What do you think it could be?”
Gu Ya raised an eyebrow at his young wife but said nothing. Su Yunjin continued, “Husband, do you think my brother has run into some trouble outside? Perhaps he’s encountered some difficulties?”
“Yunjin, don’t think too much, it’s not likely.” Gu Ya finally spoke, his large hand gently rubbing Su Yunjin’s head to reassure her!
Right then, Su Yunjin’s mind was filled with the images of tonight’s dinner, as well as the evasive expressions on her parents’ and second sister’s faces.
The more she thought about it, the more it didn’t seem right to Su Yunjin. After pondering for a while, she confidently said to Gu Ya, “Husband, I’m sure my parents are hiding something about my brother from me! In a couple of days, I must get to the bottom of this.”
Besides figuring out her elder brother Su Muze’s situation, Su Yunjin also wanted to help resolve her second sister Su Ningxiu’s problems. Under no circumstances could she allow their step-grandmother to sell Ningxiu to that old Master Huang!
After a while, when there was no sound from his young wife,
