Chapter 34: Chapter 34 No Need
Mrs. Chu glanced at Su Yunjin, her eyes bright and shiny.
“Third sister-in-law, then I’ll give it a try first.”
The pig’s blood in the spoon looked enticing. Lowering her head, Mrs. Chu took a bite from Su Yunjin’s spoonful of pig’s blood, downing it. The scalding blood was sour and spicy, and especially smooth and tender. After finishing it, Mrs. Chu immediately widened her eyes at Su Yunjin, her face filled with disbelief, “Delicious, delicious, it’s so good! Third sister-in-law, I didn’t expect this pig’s blood to be so fragrant!”
Then, Mrs. Chu added another line, “It’s much tastier than tofu.”

Gu Ya frowned as he watched Mrs. Chu nodding continually at Su Yunjin.
Turning her head back, Su Yunjin scooped up a spoonful of pig’s blood and brought it to Gu Ya’s lips, asking him, “Do you want to try a bite too?” Without waiting for Gu Ya to respond, Su Yunjin directly fed the spoonful of pig’s blood into Gu Ya’s mouth.
“How is it? Third brother, isn’t the pig’s blood that third sister-in-law made really tasty?” Before Gu Ya finished eating, Mrs. Chu asked him eagerly.
How tasty could pig’s blood be?
Initially, Gu Ya had not been too convinced by the expression on Mrs. Chu’s face, but having just been fed a mouthful by his petite wife, he too was surprised to find that the pig’s blood actually tasted quite good!

Because she had cooked a lot of pig’s blood, Su Yunjin filled up three large earthenware bowls to the brim and still had not used up all the pig’s blood from the pot. There was about half a pot left.
The remaining pig’s blood, Su Yunjin planned to send over to the butcher, so he could also have a taste.
After all, the pig’s blood was generously provided by the butcher, and now that it was cooked, she should at least send a bowl over for him to have a taste.
Su Yunjin found another earthenware bowl and filled it up as well, saying, “Fifth brother’s wife, this pig’s blood was requested from the butcher’s, and now I’m going to send a bowl over to his place! You stay at home, I’ll be back very soon.”
Mrs. Chu was frank and generous, unlike her first and fourth sisters-in-law, the two difficult ones. Su Yunjin said she would send a bowl to the butcher, and Mrs. Chu also felt it was appropriate, “Since the butcher gave the pig’s blood to us, we should indeed send a bowl over.”
Holding the pig’s blood, Su Yunjin walked out and had only just stepped out when she saw Gu Ya limping behind her with his crutches, “Yunjin, wait, I’ll accompany you.”

Su Yunjin hadn’t actually intended to let Gu Ya come with her and said to him, “No need, I can go by myself, I’ll be back very quickly.”
