She would return with Gu Ya after the man who fancied her second sister, Su Ningxiu, came by again. Such trivial matters never met opposition from Gu Ya.
If his little wife wanted to stay at her parents’ house, then that was fine, he would simply accompany his little wife at the Su Family home for a few more days.
As far as Gu Ya was concerned, as long as his little wife was by his side, it didn’t matter where they were. And so, Su Yunjin continued to stay with Gu Ya.
Su Yunjin waited to see who the man that liked her sister was, but what she hadn’t expected in the following days was that the man equally didn’t show up.
Five or six days went by, and the man seemed to have evaporated, never appearing again. The man kept not appearing, but Su Yunjin couldn’t possibly stay at her parents’ house indefinitely, could she?
Having stayed at her parents’ home for nearly ten days, Su Yunjin could no longer stay put. After breakfast that day, she looked at Su Zhongshi and Mrs. Shen and said, “Father, Mother, my husband and I have stayed at the Su Family for so long, it’s time we returned. Last night, my husband and I discussed it, and we’ve decided to leave this morning.”
“Little sister, you’re leaving so soon? Why not stay a few more days with your brother-in-law?” Su Ningxiu was reluctant to see her little sister leave, having spent every day with Su Yunjin these past few days.
The two sisters had endless things to talk about. Once her little sister was gone, it wouldn’t be as convenient for her to talk with her. Su Xiaobao pointed ahead while Su Ningxiu and Su Zhongshi all looked in the same direction. Su Yunjin nodded with a smile, “Yes, Xiaobao, you’re right, that’s your sister and brother-in-law’s house.”
“Not bad at all, Yunjin. You and your husband have built a really fine house,” praised Mrs. Shen as she surveyed the house Su Yunjin and her husband had built, nodding again and again.
Even Su Zhongshi expressed his approval, “Very good, Yunjin, your father is so pleased to see such a fine new house that you and your husband have built.”
