It seemed like they were there to welcome guests.

The hour was still early.

Upon learning that Su Yunjin and others were there to deliver fruit wine,
the butler came out and instructed them, “The two of you, today is the birthday of our old queen dowager of the Qi Residence. The guests are all royals and nobles. While delivering the fruit wine, do not wander about carelessly. Offending any of the royal relatives would be a crime you could not afford to bear,” the butler warned them in a haughty tone.
This tone was typically used for lecturing servants.
Su Yunjin stood aside, listening to the butler’s endless droning until her ears could take no more. She and Gu Ya had come to deliver the fruit wine,
And would leave right after doing so.
Why bother with so many rules?
Royal folks surely do have a lot of them.
Fortunately, she hadn’t somehow crossed over into the royal family; otherwise, all these rules would be waiting for her, and just the thought made Su Yunjin feel woozy. The young wife was clearly impatient.
Gu Ya subtly shot his wife a look, signaling her to be patient. After the butler finished speaking, he glanced at the cart of fruit wine they had brought, and in the same arrogant tone said, “Today, our Wang Residence is hosting the old queen dowager’s birthday, and we do not have spare hands to move the fruit wine.
