She was also thinking, would Yu Zexiao really ask her to find women for him? Although she had boasted when she had rejected him, if it really happened, she found herself somewhat worried.

Jian Anning was stunned, she had never imagined that Yu Zexiao would make such a request!

"Wait a minute!" As she saw Yu Zexiao’s tall figure already by the door, Jian Anning suddenly called out to him. Yu Zexiao paused slightly but didn’t stop at all, still heading resolutely towards the door!

Yu Zexiao whirled around abruptly!
The sunlight streamed in through the window next to the dining hall, illuminating one side of her face whilst the other was cast in shadow. Light and dark contrasted sharply, creating an almost surreal illusion. In this illusion, the only real sensation was her ever-calm pupils, like a deep green lake, where beneath the rippling light, hidden profound emotions seemed to possess the power to stabilize one’s heart!
Yu Zexiao probably didn’t realize how big a decision he had influenced Jian Anning to make! She had never considered Huaxia to be the focal point of her life; she had always thought of returning to Canada, to wrap up her stepfather’s family matters and then go back to Vancouver. That was where she was born and grew up, the place that held the most memories for her. She intended to inherit her father’s business and wanted to continue living and thriving in the city where her father and grandparents had lived, to live out her life.
But now, Yu Zexiao was asking her to stay.
And moreover, until he let go, she couldn’t leave on her own accord.
If this had happened in the past, she would have never agreed. As soon as there was a chance, she would leave Yu Zexiao without a second word and return to Canada!
