In the car, they sat far apart from each other.
The air inside was stagnant, no one spoke, and everything seemed to have frozen solid.
Jian Anning was too furious, and at this moment, she didn’t feel like saying anything to him.

Yu Zexiao turned his head to look at her serene profile. Because of filming, she was still dressed as the second female lead. Her curled hair and the bright red dress added a sharp beauty to her anger.
Recalling Ling Yichuan and Mo Siyu’s advice, he wanted to appease her but didn’t know how. After a long pause, he spoke coarsely, "Hey, why are you ignoring me?"
"What do you want me to say?" Jian Anning’s eyes were indifferent, her voice steady, seemingly without a trace of emotional fluctuation. But Yu Zexiao, who knew her well, understood that she would only become when she was extremely angry.
"I, I don’t like you being so close to that Si surnamed guy!" he declared, lifting his chin, attempting to show his own sense of authority, but Jian Anning paid him no heed.
"Say something, will you!" Yu Zexiao was getting anxious, he abruptly shifted closer, reaching out to grab her shoulder to turn her face towards him.
"Yu Zexiao, can you not be so childish!" Jian Anning finally exploded, "Do you realize how much trouble you’ve caused the crew by running off today? You knew perfectly well how tight the filming schedule was, yet you left without saying a word! Leaving the director and so many actors and crew members in the lurch! You’re twenty-eight years old now! Can’t you be a bit more responsible?"
Yu Zexiao blinked, remembering his previous career as a singer-songwriter who composed and sang his own music. And with Starlight Entertainment always pampering him, he had never experienced the need for cooperation among a group of people in filming as he had not acted before.
This was also his first time encountering such an event.
