Jian Anning was startled and saw in Yu Zexiao’s gray-blue eyes a steadfast shimmer, as if there was a radiant glow circling within. She was just about to speak when a phone call came through. Pulling out the phone, she saw it was Yu Zexiao’s number!
She jumped in surprise. What did Yu Zexiao mean by this? Was he checking up on her with a phone call or was something the matter? She immediately answered the call, but on the other end it was Mo Siyu, looking haggard and distressed, "Little assistant, where are you? Hurry up and come over, Xingxing and I are almost tortured to death!"

Before Jian Anning could rush over, Yu Zexiao and Mo Siyu had already been "apprehended" and taken to the security room’s dark cell, ready for the first round of questioning.
Mo Siyu was better off; he was dressed normally and wasn’t like Yu Zexiao, who had a mask covering his face along with sunglasses and a hat that hid most of it. Being dragged into the dark cell, he didn’t say a word, and was even more unwilling to remove his disguise and glasses.
Since they were suspected of being "thieves," it was natural that their belongings had to be checked. And what a check it was! Inside Yu Zexiao’s backpack were high-powered binoculars, a voice recorder, a miniature camera, and all sorts of tools appropriate for stalking and peeping. Just by looking at these, even if they were not thieves, these two definitely didn’t look like good guys!
"What exactly are you two here for!" barked the burly head of security, staring at them sternly.
"We’re really just customers here to shop," Mo Siyu replied without a second thought.
"Customers? Who dress this strangely and shabbily to look around the women’s section? You think I didn’t graduate from kindergarten?" The security chief slammed the table angrily, chastising them.
"Damn!" Mo Siyu had never imagined that one day he’d be labeled as "shabby!" He always drove luxury sports cars, lived in villas, ate high-end food, and wore the world’s top clothing.
But today, under Yu Zexiao’s coercion, he was forced to drive a super-beat-up Volkswagen and wore an absolutely nerdy t-shirt and shorts combo that screamed nineties throwback. From head to toe, his current look did not resemble that of a wealthy person in any way!
Moreover, if this were Yancheng, it would be fine. Yancheng was his stronghold; a phone call and who would dare ignore him? But this was Shangcheng!
Tears nearly filled Mo Siyu’s eyes.
If he had known chasing down X would lead to such a plight, he’d have never agreed to come along!
The security chief demanded, "Hand over your ID cards, both of you!"
How could Mo Siyu, who dashed out to catch X, possibly have his ID with him? And Yu Zexiao was even less likely to give up his identity card.
Left with no other choice, the security chief resorted to threats, "If you don’t provide ID cards, we’ll have to take you to the police station!"
"On what grounds! We didn’t steal or rob; you have no right to take us away! This is illegal detention; you’re breaking the law!" Dammit, if his friends found out he’d been caught as a suspected thief, wouldn’t Mo Siyu’s reputation completely stink?
