The more she talked, the more preposterous it got. Jian Anning turned around and left, huffing and puffing.

Back in the room, Zhao Ziyin had already taken a bath. Seeing her return, she came over with a giggly smile and said, "Anning, it’s been so long since we slept together!"
Jian Anning was somewhat speechless at that remark, but then she thought about their college days. It was different abroad; only two people shared a dormitory, and it was during that time that she and Zhao Ziyin developed their revolutionary friendship.
Zhao Ziyin said, "Your leg is injured, do you want me to help you take a bath?"
As she spoke, she even deliberately threw her a flirtatious wink.
Jian Anning felt a shudder of horror, "No need. It’s not a serious illness, just a dislocation. My ankle is a bit swollen."

That seemed reasonable. Jian Anning nodded, quickly took a bath, and pushed the door open to come out. Zhao Ziyin walked over, having bought her a rather conservative nightgown—only, no matter how conservative, it was still a nightgown.
So, when Zhao Ziyin helped her out, it was quite obvious that she saw the bruise-like marks Yu Zexiao had left on her from last night!
"What, what is this?" Zhao Ziyin looked at her suspiciously. Jian Anning was startled, glanced at it, then said, "It’s from when I fell down today and knocked against something."
"I see, be more careful, will you? Such a grown person and still not knowing how to walk properly."
Zhao Ziyin didn’t think much of it, just helped her to the side and said, "You, you, born into such a good family, why still stay in a place ? Since you left, so much time has passed, and there’s been no word from that side. I think you could probably go back now, right?"
Given Jian Anning’s conditions, what kind of man couldn’t she find, what sort of job couldn’t she do, why bother staying by Yu Zexiao’s side, being his little broke assistant? Not only did she have to deal with so much each day, but the pay wasn’t much either. If she hadn’t just returned to the country at that time and was eager to find a job to earn money, she wouldn’t have introduced her to Starlight Entertainment.
Jian Anning fell silent. In truth, she had been considering developing things further with Yu Zexiao. She no longer had any family, and in Canada, there was only her father’s old house in Vancouver.
