Zhao Ziyin had no idea of Anning’s scheming, and soon her breathing became steady. Only then did Jian Anning tiptoe up from her bed, and as she was just about to rummage through her small bundle to find the few small umbrellas, a sudden noise came from the bed!
Jian Anning was so frightened that she froze completely. She didn’t dare to turn around, nor did she know when Zhao Ziyin had started to stir!
In her head, she frantically thought about how to explain why she was up, when she heard Zhao Ziyin behind her turn over, seemingly mumbling in her sleep, and then fall back into a deep slumber.
A long time later, Jian Anning hadn’t heard her voice again, only then did she relax. This girl can’t even sleep peacefully! She really scared her to death!
She turned around, still afraid that Ziyin wasn’t asleep, and gently called out a few times, "Ziyin, Ziyin?"
As expected, Zhao Ziyin showed no reaction, and Jian Anning didn’t dare to delay any longer. She also didn’t dare to search for the small umbrellas in the room anymore, took the small bundle, and snuck out of the room.
When she got to the next room, she also knew that a lot of time had passed by then. She wondered if Yu Zexiao would be getting anxious?

But the problem was— even if Zhao Ziyin realized that she and Yu Zexiao were a couple, she would feel embarrassed to tell Zhao Ziyin that Yu Zexiao wanted to sleep with her that night.
After all, this was a hospital!

But as she reached the door to Yu Zexiao’s hospital room, the dim lighting inside suggested that no one was answering.
Could it be that he’d waited so long that he’d fallen asleep?
She hesitated, but still pushed open the door and went inside.
The room was eerily quiet, the solitary emergency light emitted a faint yellow glow. Jian Anning, upon entering, had to pass through a corridor with a bathroom to get inside the room. Moving forward under the dim light, she saw nothing.
"Zexiao, Zexiao?" She didn’t dare to speak loudly, after all, it was late. But the room was deathly quiet; where could Yu Zexiao be?
He couldn’t possibly be so angry that he’d gone outside, could he?
While she puzzled over this, an arm suddenly extended from behind and wrapped tightly around her slender waist!
Jian Anning was so startled that she dropped the bundle in her hand, with various small umbrellas scattering across the floor. She was about to scream when another quick hand covered her mouth, preventing any sound from escaping. Just as she thought to call for help, a familiar scent enveloped her, one that was so comforting and familiar. Turning her head, she saw that it was indeed Yu Zexiao!
He had been hiding behind the bathroom door, unseen by her as she entered. Jian Anning was momentarily speechless, "What are you hiding there for?"
However, Yu Zexiao quickly let go of her, looked her up and down, his expression severe, and then with his long legs, he walked unhappily over to the bedside.
