On the other end, Vincent seemed to have been prepared, and immediately asked, "How’s the situation?"

Jian Anning bit her lip; she didn’t want to stand by Lu Jiayuan’s side, but then again, it was he who had helped bring Xiaoliu over, otherwise, she wouldn’t have been involved in this trouble. So she nodded, "Okay, I promise you."
"Thank you." On that end, Vincent breathed a sigh of relief and hung up, but on this side, a certain jealous man clearly wasn’t having it.
"Why should you help him? Just let the media hound him, that would be great!" Yu Zexiao had no good feelings toward Lu Jiayuan—no man feels good about a rival in love coveting their woman!
"Zexiao, if he hadn’t carried Xiaoliu to the front door just now, it would’ve been inconvenient for me as a woman, and, along the way, he took care of us. Now, both sentimentally and logically, I should help him out." Jian Anning actually knew that Yu Zexiao wasn’t the type to be stubborn to the end; as long as she explained things clearly, he would listen.
"So what? You could have found me!" Yu Zexiao was unhappy.
"Appendicitis, the doctor said it would’ve been dangerous if he had been brought in half an hour later." Jian Anning, helpless, pressed her temples and then raised her hand, only to see the receipt she was holding, "Besides, we’ve just finished paying, and if I don’t show up now, the surgery can’t proceed."
"That still doesn’t mean you need to go and fend off the media for him! You could have just given the payment receipt to the nurse!" Yu Zexiao was definitely petty; he had no liking for Lu Jiayuan at all and in his heart, he knew that sentimentally and logically, he should help, but he just couldn’t shake off the irritation!

"Zexiao, I’m yours, as long as you don’t let go, I won’t leave." She gently rubbed her cheek against his chin, "You need to be good.
