While speaking, he leaned in for a kiss.
"Hey hey hey, stop right there," Jian Anning immediately dodged his kiss, "We still have to film, better rest awhile. As for having kids—that’s a conversation for another day!"
"You’re right," Yu Zexiao nodded, "Having kids—that’s indeed a matter for the ’days’ to come, isn’t it?"
"Yu Zexiao! If you go on, I’ll really get mad at you!"
"Alright, alright," Yu Zexiao laughed too, and laid down beside her on the bed, feeling her breath soft and steady; his heart immediately lightened.
"Anning," he called softly. It seemed like her name carried a hint of lingering affection; just the act of saying it left a pleasant aftertaste.
"Hmm?" She looked at him, puzzled.
Just then, Yu Zexiao turned to look at her too, observing the tender emotions in the depths of her eyes, he felt as if a feather had floated down into his heart—soft yet firm.
"Anning, being with you is wonderful."
His eyes sparkled like shattered diamonds in the sky. Such a handsome face uttering such tender words almost made one’s heart melt in an instant.
"Me too," she suddenly snuggled her head closer, rubbing against his shoulder. Feeling the strong heartbeat in his solid chest, it seemed as if happiness blossomed in her heart too.
"Let’s sleep," he stretched out his arm, enveloping her tightly in his embrace, his soft lips gently kissing the crown of her head. Feeling the small head nuzzling against him in his embrace, as if nodding, he too thought, perhaps this is what happiness is?

In the end, Jian Anning still fell asleep on Yu Zexiao’s bed until evening.
She was indeed coming down with a cold—the feeling wasn’t there when she had just rested, but as soon as she fell asleep, her body began to heat up.

"Are you feeling unwell? Do you want some water?"
"I, I want to rest." She answered weakly, not even opening her eyes.
Just then, someone outside was knocking on the door: "Zexiao, Zexiao, are you ready? We just have the last few shots left."
"Got it," Yu Zexiao lifted his head and replied before looking down at her again, "You rest well. I’m going to film."
"Mhm," she nodded, curling her entire body into a small ball, like a little hedgehog.
Yu Zexiao had never learned how to care for the sick. After thinking for a bit, he tucked her in more tightly, then poured her a cup of water. There was no medicine in the room, and after looking around, he could only sit down and instruct: "Get up and have some water later, and call me if you feel unwell anywhere."
