A clean and tidy private ward.
The silver-haired youth leaned against the soft hospital bed, with pale pink moonflowers placed in a vase by the bed.
This consciousness ward, created by Moon Scar, belonged to his temporary resting area within Yi Chen’s body.
The night scene outside the window corresponded to real-time events occurring outside.
At that moment, the door opened.
A female doctor in an ultra-short wrap skirt, revealing her signature long legs, came over to change Moon Scar’s bandages, covering his right eye with a fresh gauze smeared with white pollen,
The doctor’s head attached to the IV pole also looked out the window, a deep red lip peeping through the black hair, curiously asking:
“It seems the situation outside is quite dangerous, and they’ve unknowingly separated the three of them… Those three humans aren’t lacking in the slightest on a mental level, the opponent’s tactics are very clever indeed.”
Moon Scar nodded, seemingly very interested in what was happening outside, and gave a simple evaluation.
Jin, who was neither adept at Pupil Skills nor at Thought Perception within the squad, thought she would be trapped in the Vision Illusion indefinitely.
However, she was the earliest among the three to detect something was amiss.
On the fifth minute of the ascent along the mountain path,
out of sheer boredom, Jin used Instant Step before Reagan could make a move, reaching the restless Pathological corpse,
palm attached, and Red Lotus blossomed.
Crack! The corpse, along with the cluster of eyes on it, was blasted to bits — bones flew chaotically in every direction, nearly hitting Yi Chen in the head.
Having cleared the threat of the corpse, her teammates said nothing and continued upward, but Jin deliberately slowed down, waiting for Yi Chen to pass by her, then slap! A hand casually landed on his shoulder.
“William, you’re a bit off today — if it were the usual you, even if you didn’t physically stop me, you would at least comment on my recklessness,” she said.
“Indeed, something’s not right…”
Red threads twisted between Jin’s arms, preparing to infuse Red Lotus Energy into Yi Chen’s body through the hand on his shoulder, but suddenly Jin thought of something, quickly retracting the energy back into her body.
A gentle voice came from beneath the mask: “Just kidding — let’s keep going.”
The madness within Jin prevented her from exposing the facade of the illusion before her; instead, she purposefully maintained the status quo, curious to see where the opponent wanted to lead her — preferably straight to the lair of Gathering Eye Disease.

Should her physical body encounter any threat exceeding her limits, even if her other senses failed to convey information, this Red Lotus would activate in an instant,
exploding her skull, the intense stimulation and brain disruption pulling her back to reality.

“Cluck cluck, this William is a bit strange — doesn’t seem like the charming guy I know! Maybe I should open all my eyes and observe closely, might catch a glimpse of what’s real.”
“Let’s keep it this way — pretend everything is normal.”

He decided to trust his teammates, entering the mountain’s interior alone along a hidden wall.
The concentration of the Grey Zone inside was twice that of the outside, perhaps even approaching the discomfort of a medium Grey Zone.
The mountain’s interior was hollow and cylindrical,
all manner of bizarrely shaped rocks hung tumorous on the walls,
Yi Chen, using the Visual Enhancement provided by Little Grape, preemptively identified the regular rocks, rapidly scaling the wall with the aid of plant roots.
The vertical cylindrical passage was astoundingly high, Yi Chen felt his climbing speed wasn’t slow, yet he spent well over an hour inside.
“Could it lead directly to the mountain peak?”
Upon reaching the top of the circular exit, there was no blue sky or white clouds to greet him… but rather a vast cave with a distinctly different ambience and inside, an ancient Monastery built within it.
