He aimlessly wandered in the Dream Realm and accidentally stepped on the Book of Knowledge, which, having just finished eating and spread out its pages to digest, lay on the ground.
The Book of Knowledge was furious, jumping up to smack Rod furiously.
Rod let it hit him for a while without fighting back, just as he was about to silently walk away, the book stopped him.
A few suspicious large characters appeared on its pages.
"Why aren’t you ’injecting’ me anymore?"
Rod replied, "Not interested."
The Book of Knowledge shivered for a moment, then wrote another line.
"What’s wrong with you? Of course, I’m not concerned about you, I wish such a scoundrel as a master would drop dead sooner, I’m just recording your state to use against you when you go berserk later."
Rod spoke wordlessly, "Book, can you speak more directly? This is awkward."
The Book of Knowledge wrote three characters in the largest bold font:
"Fine," Rod sighed, and casually spoke about the difficulties he was currently facing.
After listening, the book made a contrived movement; it lay slanted on the ground, and in italic letters it wrote.
Rod felt as if he had been given a side-eye, he angrily said, "What do you mean by that?"
The Book of Knowledge flipped a page and rapidly wrote out a long line of text.
"I’ve never seen such a foolish master as you, a Master of Dreams that gets trapped by such trivial problems among humans in the material world. It’s unprecedented, unheard of, you’re making me lose face..."
Rod directly shoved a finger into the book’s spine.
"You better speak properly, if you’ve got something to say, spit it out, if you’ve got nothing, then piss off."
The book became deflated and wrote honestly.
"You have the Book of the Past, inject Spiritual Energy and you can see past scenes, and with a Recording Crystal, you can record them. As long as you have enough Spiritual Energy, no secret will be hidden from you."
Rod suddenly realized.
He had almost forgotten about the Book of the Past, which he hadn’t used in a long time.
Back then, with his weak Spiritual Energy, he could only see things from the past three or four days.
Now, Rod had long since progressed, his Spiritual Energy was tens of times stronger than before, and he could certainly see much further into the past.
