The ground’s flesh and brain matter gathered and rose.
A creature of flesh was taking form.
A fierce wind circled around Lannister as he entered the highest state of alert, but his face remained calm as he spoke lightly.
"Even the Great Sect Leader of the Polluter Sect is just this, so easily provoked, it seems your sect isn’t much after all..."
The twisted voice echoed from all directions, the flesh monster lunged fiercely but was easily dispersed by Lannister.
However, in that instant, the Twisted Spirit pounced on Rod like lightning, sinking into his soul.
Lannister instantly realized.
Its target had been Rod from the start; it had never taken his own words to heart.
This Twisted Spirit was a powerful and bizarre curse force, originating from the Divine Artifact, the Book of Destiny, in Sagus Ancient City. If it were to merge with Rod’s soul, the consequences would be unthinkable.
Lannister leapt forward, trying to prevent the Spirit from merging, but it was already too late.
The Twisted Spirit directly entered Rod’s soul, leaving behind only a cold and sharp remark in the void.
"That’s really stupid."
Lannister’s heart sank in an instant.
He threw himself on Rod, trying to use Spiritual Energy to force the Twisted Spirit out, but it triggered a rejection reaction from the body itself.
Rod’s Spiritual Energy refused his Spiritual Energy entry.
Lannister knew this was bad; if he forced it further, the Spiritual Energy rejection could turn into Spiritual Energy hostility.
By then, he would have no choice but to engage in a dangerous clash of Spiritual Energy with Rod.
"This is bad, we must hurry Rod back to the Royal City, perhaps the Soul Master at the Soul Church will have a way."
Lannister dashed out quickly but collided head-on with Cilly.
"Ouch! Big liar, what are you doing?"
Lannister quickly and briefly explained the situation.
Cilly’s eyes widened.
"You sent us away because of this? Are you an idiot? Can’t you not do things you’re not sure about? If something happens to Rod, I’ll cook you and eat you!"
Lannister calmly said, "Don’t panic, we can send Rod back using the Spiritual Energy carriage. If he can receive rescue from the Soul Master within two quarters, the chance of Rod having a problem is very small."
"But we don’t have a Spiritual Energy carriage!"
"Master Chucher has one!"
"Then contact the master!"
Cilly quickly pulled out the Spirit Crow Messenger, but Lannister stopped her.
"No, Master Chucher is in battle, he might not receive the Spirit Crow Messenger."
"What do we do then?" Cilly stared at him.
Lannister calmly said, "Use the highest level of flare."
Cilly hesitated for a second.
The highest level flare meant they were facing a crisis that could determine the life or death of an entire region; anyone who saw it must come unconditionally.
This would cause chaos on the battlefield.
But she hesitated for only a second before she turned and ran out without a word.
What they didn’t know at that moment was that Rod was lying blissfully asleep in a rocking chair in the Dream Realm house.

He walked out of the cottage, intending to go to the Soul Altar when suddenly, he saw a strange Spirit in the middle of the Dream Realm.
It was oddly white, its form twisted and malformed, making it very uncomfortable to look at.
Rod curiously watched as it slowly moved through the air, as if stuck in a swamp.
The powerful force from the Dream Realm was suppressing it; its motions grew slower, like a fly caught in a web.
"No, no way, this can’t be happening!"
It repeated the phrase like a broken record player.
Rod curiously approached, the Twisted Spirit suddenly saw him and flinched greatly.
Rod asked in confusion, "Me? What are you?"
The Twisted Spirit shouted shrilly, "You are the..."
The entire Spirit was crushed by an invisible force, turning into numerous grey fragments.
They lingered in the air for a while before flying past Rod and directly into the Crystal Wall of the Soul Altar.
A golden inscription appeared before his eyes.
