The Last King Of Darkness Chapter 510

And Rod’s Fire Spark was not only multifunctional but also immensely powerful, like a freak with seven characteristics.

The Acid Bath tactic they had just used was developed by leveraging Rod’s Fire Spark ability.

They irritated the Demonized King Ant in a specific way, causing it to continuously spit out acid liquid.

The acid liquid greatly drained Spiritual Energy, and Rod was immune to the acid’s erosion; as long as he kept provoking, the Demonized King Ant would continue to spit out acid liquid until its Spiritual Energy was depleted, and they could easily kill it.

Normally, provoking the Demonized King Ant during combat was prohibited, but it had become a guaranteed winning tactic for them.

Lannister had never thought they could kill a Strong Monster so easily, consuming less Spiritual Energy than it took to crush a Grey Level creature.

The wonders of Rod didn’t stop there; he could also summon a bunch of Wood Puppets, which were not very offensive but incredibly troublesome, effectively partitioning the battlefield.

He also had more powerful Flesh Puppets that could withstand a multitude of ants, as sturdy as rock.

With the help of these two types of Summons, they could easily create isolated scenarios where they outnumbered the enemy, quickly eliminating the monster’s living forces with their concentrated combat prowess.

It could be said that their brilliant battle achievements owed much to these two types of Puppets.

Of course, Rod’s own combat ability was also exceptionally strong.

His Star Light Sword and Shield were, by nature, a combination of offense and defense, making it difficult for monsters to hurt him, and he also wore strange Armor made of flesh. Coupled with his advanced fighting skills, he charged straight through the horde of monsters without getting hurt.

Often, Rod would be at the very front, drawing the attention of a large number of monsters, creating an advantageous combat environment, which facilitated such smooth operations.

Up to this point, Lannister could barely accept what was happening.

Until one day, when a huge colony of ants appeared as they had just fought through an entire night, with their Spiritual Energy nearly depleted.

Lannister suggested a temporary retreat, but Rod couldn’t even be bothered to respond and simply threw a glowing object into the midst of the ant colony.

Then, the ant colony was blown apart by a Fireball so bright it could blind, scattering in all directions.

The few survivors were also easily exterminated by them.

The power was simply stronger than ten thousand Thunder Stones combined.

In Lannister’s limited memory, all explosive materials with comparable power did not match what was in Rod’s possession.

And besides, those were precious tactical weapons, not possible to be in Rod’s custody.

Without a doubt, this was a special creation made by his own abilities.

Lannister had never seen a Fire Spark capable of creating such a powerful special creation.

Although Rod had explained in detail, he always thought it was just a large Thunder Stone.

Of course, it turned out to indeed be a large Thunder Stone.

Just several tens of thousands of times larger.

What the hell was this?

Lannister felt that everything about Rod defied common sense.

Collaborating with him in combat felt like needing to rebuild one’s worldview.

Back at the Lighthouse, before everyone could even sit down, the scout reported another piece of news.

Another strong monster had entered the Lighthouse’s range of vision.

According to the Spiritual Power Reactor’s feedback, it was not an ant, but some other kind of monster.

The group immediately became alert.

It seemed the creatures within Trident River that Teacher Chucher had mentioned were finally arriving.

After a moment of contemplation, Lannister ordered, "Everyone, take time to recuperate quickly. Cilly, Rod, and I will go and assess the situation."

No one objected; the words of a Hall Level warrior were absolute.

Besides, they had proven their reliability with actual results.

"Yes, Lord Lannister," the scout saluted with a single fist and swiftly left.

Cilly complained, "Why are you the one giving orders?"

Rod laughed, "It doesn’t matter, let’s just go."

The three of them equipped themselves and set off, following the information provided by the scout to quickly locate the monster.

It was a large mass of pure black sludge, slowly writhing on the ground, its Spiritual Energy concealed, hard to detect, its soul waves so faint that they could barely discern its rank.

"What kind of monster is this?" Cilly asked in surprise.

"Why have I never seen it before?"

Lannister was silent, rapidly searching through his memory, but the types of monsters were as vast as the sea of stars, and he couldn’t recall at the moment, though he felt a sense of familiarity.

With a flash of Spiritual Light in his hand, Rod summoned a Wood Puppet.

"Let’s have it scout ahead."

As soon as the Wood Puppet hit the ground, it charged at the monster, using the traditional method of embracing it in an attempt to bind and hinder its movement.

However, its branches sank into the sludge as soon as it touched it and became more and more submerged, unable to extricate itself.

In just a few seconds, the Wood Puppet was completely devoured by the sludge.

Lannister flicked his finger, launching a Wind Blade that also buried itself in the sludge, without any reaction.

"Regular attacks seem to have no effect on it."

Cilly looked at Rod questioningly.

"Rod, your Spiritual Energy has recovered, right? Why don’t you try your Spiritual Energy cannon?"

Rod had the same thought, this lump of sludge moved slowly, making it an ideal target.

But, once used, the "Spiritual Power Multiple Melodies" would drain all his Spiritual Energy.

"Should it be used here?"

Lannister shook his head, "No, it’s not worth it. Such a move should be used at the most critical moment."

Yawning, Cilly suggested, "How about we just ignore it? This thing moves so slowly, by the time it gets out of our sight range, the legion’s main force will have arrived."
