Herman immediately shouted at the top of his voice, "First Level battle preparation!"
The team dispersed in an instant, with Chucher at the forefront, and everyone else taking positions far enough to the rear.
Before the Insect Queen arrived, they had to withstand the onslaught of the demonized ants.
"Tyrion, immediately send a message back, inform His Excellency Alan to prepare, the Space Waypoint is about to be used, the battle against the Insect Queen is about to begin," Herman ordered.
Tyrion promptly took out the Spirit Crow Messenger that had been ready, and with a surge of Spiritual Energy, the messenger broke through the air and disappeared behind the Black Fog in the blink of an eye.
This was a specially made messenger, extremely fast and highly valuable.
Rod stared into the depths of the Black Fog. In a moment, a large swarm of demonized ants indeed charged over. Their Soul Strength was mostly between Mature Level and Fierce Level, but under the Insect Queen’s powerful Spiritual Power Field, they exhibited far greater combat strength than that.
"Thirty-six Fierce Level monsters, so many Mature Level monsters... the Insect Queen has not yet been seen!"
Herman yelled, "Prepare for battle, all combatants to your positions, ready your Spiritual Energy."
"The monsters are approaching, five hundred yards, three hundred yards, one hundred yards..."
In that moment, Star Shuttles, Wind Blades, and Spiritual Power Cannons all flew straight into the ant horde.
Chucher had already smashed headfirst into the swarm, his hammer and axe flying, slaughtering demonized ants left and right.
The few monsters that slipped through were intercepted by Herman and others, and they died explosively under the group’s siege.
Suddenly, Rod’s vision twisted before his eyes, his Spiritual Vision greatly disrupted.
An ultra-strong source of Spiritual Energy was approaching them.
"It’s the Insect Queen!" Chucher shouted.
Everyone’s hearts rose to their throats. After fighting in the Trident River Region for so long, they were finally about to meet the true face of the source of this disaster.
Herman commanded, "Turn off Spiritual Vision!"
The Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy was too strong. It possessed a special, super-large Spiritual Power Field which amplified its Spiritual Energy effect, causing great interference with Spiritual Vision. As it approached, the range of visibility through Spiritual Vision decreased, so it was better not to use it at all.
Ryan and the others exclaimed anxiously, "Sir, without Spiritual Vision, the Black Fog will obscure our line of sight!"
Herman ordered, "Ignite the Embers for illumination!"
Tyrion pulled out a Fragment of Embers covered with flame patterns from his chest, injected Spiritual Energy into it, and scattered it into the air. A bright firelight instantly illuminated the nearby area.
On the desolate hills, thousands of demonized ants of various sizes were swarming around a gigantic object moving towards them.
It was a hundred times bigger than the biggest Big King Ant, and the demonized ants next to it were like real ants compared to it. Its massive abdomen made its huge body seem small, and that large lump of gray-white swelling was filled with crisscrossed ravines, like a giant brain swollen in water.
Upon closer inspection, each ravine on the "brain" was filled with decaying human faces, showing grim and pained expressions with the movement of the Insect Queen.
This horrifying sight brought a tremendous visual shock, and even though everyone present was a battle-hardened warrior, they couldn’t help but turn pale.
Herman said softly, "Rod, get ready. When the moment is right, rush over and as long as you attach the Waypoint to the Insect Queen, we can immediately retreat. Once the Insect Queen’s soul is locked, even with the aid of the Spiritual Power Field for jumping, it won’t escape from the pursuit of His Excellency Alan."
The ultra-strong Spiritual Power Shock assaulted the soul, and Rod forced himself to calm down, nodding hard and gripping the Space Waypoint in his hand.
The Insect Queen moved slowly, dragging its enormous abdomen. It wasn’t very fast, but the colossal insect body held together strong Spiritual Energy, like liquefied light that quivered gently with its movements.
"About a thousand yards."
Rod estimated the distance in his mind.
"I only need to run 500 yards to complete the mission."
He carefully maneuvered outward, ready to cross this last distance at any moment.
Anna wanted to help, but as her Spiritual Energy was too weak, she felt her breathing stall and her Spiritual Energy falter just by getting close.
Tyrion whispered, "Anna, stay away from the Insect Queen. Maintain a distance outside its one-thousand-yard range, for within a thousand yards is its core Spiritual Power Field, the true range of its domain."
Despite her reluctance, Anna could only retreat.
In the front, Chucher was already covered in a pale blue hue, his hammer and axe creating terrifying gusts of wind and shredding any approaching demonized ants to pieces.
Suddenly, with a loud bang, Chucher brought his hands together, hammer and axe smashing into one another, and unleashed a terrifying sound wave.
All demonized ants within a hundred yards were instantly shattered to pieces, creating a void in the dense swarm.
Chucher swung his hammer backward, striking the blade of his axe and sparking a sharp Wind Blade that rushed towards the Insect Queen.
Along the way, any demonized ant that touched the Wind Blade was immediately cleaved in two, and the Wind Blade carved a streak hundreds of yards long through the swarm. Rod even harbored a glimmer of hope, as if it could cut the Insect Queen in half.
But no miracle occurred; the Wind Blade hit the Insect Queen’s body and didn’t even leave a mark.
Chucher did not give up, continuously sparking Wind Blades and striking at the Insect Queen.
Although they had turned off their Spiritual Vision, Rod could see that this move put a considerable strain on Chucher, whose solidified Spiritual Energy visibly trembled with each thunderous sound.
Herman shouted, "Rod!"
Rod instantly understood. He saw Chucher’s continuous sparks of Wind Blades, changing directions and moving closer to the Insect Queen.
