Iron Beard said urgently, "Your Highness, how much longer? The situation is dire, we can’t hold out much longer."
Xingge remained silent, but her entire body’s Spiritual Energy lit up, the gentle warmth from the fire easing everyone’s anxious hearts.
Though silent, she seemed to be able to sense everyone’s emotions.
In an instant, the firelight suddenly flickered, and Iron Beard shouted, "It’s done! Xingge has succeeded!"
Everyone turned their heads sharply to look, and saw in the twisted darkness, some congealed masses dissolving in an explosion; an oval-shaped piece of black material was being expelled from the air.
With one glance, Rod knew that its original form was hidden between the layers of the Spirit Realm and the Material World.
Iron Beard shouted, "That’s the source of the Dark Phenomenon!"
"Great!" Rod said joyfully, "Let’s hurry up and destroy it!"
Quickly, the oval-shaped material was completely expelled.
But when it appeared, everyone was stunned.
Iron Beard recognized it immediately; it was the Demi Divine Artifact "Starry Scales" from the Starry Kingdom.
The core of a Demi Divine Artifact is mostly made of Source Material.
And Source Material cannot be destroyed!
At least, not with current human abilities.
If the source cannot be destroyed, then the Dark Phenomenon cannot be eradicated.
Rod confirmed this, and in his eyes floated this line of text.

"I see it! It’s Source Material!"
"What do we do now? Sit here and wait for death?"
Iron Beard looked back in bewilderment, seeing several warriors defiantly attacking the oval-shaped black material, but each attack was repelled back at them.
"Retreat?" someone asked.
No one answered, as retreating in such fierce battle was out of the question; no one wanted to run away.
But there was also no sign of hope for victory.
The warriors’ faces were ashen, but Rod suddenly shouted, "I know how to deal with it!"
Iron Beard asked in surprise, "What are you going to do? Are you still thinking about extracting Source Material?"
Rod said with a smile, "Yes!"
Iron Beard said angrily, "Are you joking at a time ? It has no soul! It’s undying and unkillable!"
"Then let’s give it a soul!"
Iron Beard was shocked, "How?"
Rod leapt next to the twisted Dark Phenomenon and threw the Dust Souls from the Soul Altar straight into the Dark Phenomenon.
But that wasn’t enough; Rod spread his palms wide, and countless black and white Souls Without Spirit surged out, quickly forming a small hill that completely buried the twisted Dark Phenomenon.
"What’s this?" Iron Beard demanded, "Is it useful?"
After a moment of silence, Rod laughed.
A dust-sized soul was born upon the Source Material, and in the moment of its birth, Rod’s right hand had already plunged in.
With a grasp of his five fingers, for the first time, Rod didn’t feel the Soul string; instead, he felt a vast expanse of deep darkness.
The next instant, Rod felt a tremendous force pulling at his soul from the other end through his right hand, instead of destroying the soul as intended.
This shock scattered Rod’s soul, for the power of a "Soul Blast" was no laughing matter.
He pulled with all his might, but the difference in strength was enormous, and he couldn’t regain control.
Just as his soul was about to be torn apart, a great fire suddenly blazed upon his body, and "King’s Blessing" injected a tremendous flow of heat into his soul.
Rod instantly felt a surge of power and yanked his hand back fiercely, managing to pull it out.
A dull thud seemed to come from the Void.
The Dark Phenomenon crumbled away; a vast black mist entered his chest.
