Chapter 5: Helpless Old Man
*Crying noises*
"What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you crying? Do you have no shame?" Laozhi was truly a master of rapid-fire conversation, shooting out three questions in a breath.
*Muffled crying noises*
"What the hell I'm right in front of you! Do you think that by crying softer I can't tell that you're still crying?"
*Muffled crying noises continue*
At this point an awkward feeling had settled into Laozhi's heart, he was clearly the one being wronged, ah, how did it become a situation where it felt like he was bullying an old man. Heck! He was also an old man, what in the world was this situation?
"Calm down, stop crying already!"
*Sobbing continues*
"Look I won't blame you okay? This Laozhi was just a little fierce right now, I'm sorry, please stop crying, let's talk this out!"
*Sobbing starts to quite down*
"Aiya, what did I do to run into this sort of situation?" Laozhi asked with a forced smile on his face. "Please… Calm down, Laozhi… will give you a candy alright? Please stop crying."
Pulling out a large rainbow lollipop out of nowhere, Laozhi looked at Di Tou with a pleading expression.
At this point Di Tou finally managed to stop crying, with only awkward sniffles here and there. To be frank he had already been trying to stop crying since the first plea for him to stop, after all, he was a normal person, ah! He didn't feel good crying in front of this random old man either, but it had really been too much. By the time he had managed to control his tears, this rapid firing old man had already brought out a lollipop. What sort of situation was this! He was an eighty-year-old *pui* twenty-year-old young man, ah! Why was he getting treated like he was a toddler.
Finally catching his breath, Di Tou managed to get some words out.
"I'm sorry… *sniffle* I really didn't know it was your wedding dress… I really didn't mean to cause any trouble, I just… *sniffle* I just woke up here out of nowhere, I don't know how I got here. I just woke up here and was hungry and then I just I just…"
At this point Di Tou broke into another short bawling session. Again, it should be reiterated that Di Tou isn't much of a complainer or crier. This was a result of him somewhat forcefully stopping his emotions earlier, and him still being in this frantic situation. It's like when you're with friends and you're trying to do something serious, but someone does something that makes everyone laugh, and everyone's trying to stop and get back on topic, but looking at the faces of their comrades who look like they're constipated holding back their laughter they burst out into laughter once again. It's a normal reaction to be unable to immediately change one's emotions in a stressful or funny situation.
Laozhi on the other hand was still awkwardly holding onto the lollipop and his jaw was hung slightly open at the situation. What the hell is wrong with this person, huh? He just stopped crying and he broke into tears again! What was this situation! Huh!? Sighing, he lowered the hand that held the lollipop, and it quietly disappeared just as it appeared. Lowering his stance Laozhi walked around to the side of Di Tou and started patting him on the back.
"Come, come, let's talk as we walk. We shouldn't stay here much longer. While you won't die, it won't be good for the body if a mortal like you stays too long in my five elements formation."
