After that, Yin Hua went back upstairs to sleep.
Only then did Xu Xinduo remember to send a message to Tong Yan, telling him that she had arrived home and was making biscuits.
Tong Yan quickly replied: Whom are you making biscuits for?
Xu Xinduo: For Shao Qinghe. He helped me find a job so I decided to thank him by making biscuits for him.
Tong Yan: Did you also go with him today?

Tong Yan quickly sent a video call request. After Xu Xinduo accepted it by tapping on the screen, she saw that the screen was covered by Coco.
Xu Xinduo immediately greeted Coco and heard him barking a few times.
Tong Yan pushed Coco away and asked Xu Xinduo: “You and Shao Qinghe spent a whole day together?”
Xu Xinduo put a tissue box on the table, so her phone could stand against it, and then replied: “No, I was alone during the training.”

“Oh… Did you chat with Shao Qinghe afterwards?”
Xu Xinduo found this question quite strange. She rarely chatted with Shao Qinghe, so she replied, “No.”
“Ah… I forgot to ask him which flavour he likes.”
“It’s already good enough that you are making biscuits for him. Who cares whether he likes it or not.”
Tong Yan was silently sulking at home.
After he came to know that Xu Xinduo and Shao Qinghe had gone to the company together, he began to picture Shao Qinghe pestering Xu Xinduo. The two came back together and now she was even making biscuits for him.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he was. However, he could only calm himself down. He didn’t know how to continue the conversation so he said: “I can’t sleep.”
“Okay?” Xu Xinduo looked at the phone in confusion.
What’s the use of telling me you can’t sleep?
Tong Yan said roughly: “Can you help me fall asleep.”
“…”
Tong Yan decided to be shameless and be cheeky until the end: “You have to chat with me until I fall asleep.”
“Alright, wait for me.” After Xu Xinduo finished speaking, she put down the things in her hand and went upstairs. After a while, she brought out a tablet and placed it on the desktop. After searching for a storybook, she started to read a bedtime story to Tong Yan.
Xu Xinduo said in a heavy tone: “How about Aunt Duo tells little Tong Yan 《Little Fox’s Wish Lamp》?”
Tong Yan said helplessly: “Not good.”
Things seemed to be going south.
Xu Xinduo was also impolite: “I will kill you if you refuse.”
Tong Yan hesitated for a while before giving in, “OK…”
“Recently, the little fox’s heart was feeling empty. It seems to have forgotten something…” Xu Xinduo really started to read the bedtime story to Tong Yan.

“You hang up first.”
“I still have to do some things before I finish with the biscuits.”
“Then I’ll watch you do it.”
“Aren’t you sleepy?”
“I will accompany you so that we can sleep together when you are done.”
