The disadvantage of not going to dinner with Tong Yan was the fact that she ended up feeling hungry in the evening. Lou Xu still hadn’t returned, stating that she had gone to the other rooms to have a chat.
Even after eating snacks on the bed alone for a while, Xu Xinduo couldn’t satiate her hunger. In the end, she finally got up, put on her clothes and went to the restaurant to have a meal.
It was quite late and there were not many people in the restaurant. There, she casually ordered a bowl of noodles. While eating, she noticed that Shao Qinghe was standing alone on the sightseeing platform.
When Xu Xinduo finished eating and was ready to leave, she looked back at Shao Qinghe, who was still standing on the platform. Then, she noticed that there was something wrong with him.
Xu Xinduo opened the door of the restaurant and immediately felt a gust of cold wind.
The sightseeing platform was on the highest point of the ski resort. However, there was no shelter so the chilly wind blowing at night felt like a knife running across her skin.
Xu Xinduo couldn’t help but shiver as she walked towards Shao Qinghe. He looked dull and his body was shaking slightly. It looked like there was a possibility of him falling down at any moment.

But with her age, there were some problems with her health, so she’s still staying there.”
Xu Xinduo looked at Shao Qinghe and didn’t know what to say for a while.
She knew that Shao Qinghe was probably just looking for a person to talk to. It just so happened that the two of them were facing similar issues and could understand each other.
After sighing, Shao Qinghe continued,”She probably thought that I would compromise and stay by her side. However, after I chose to come to the winter camp, she started to get hysterical again. She got into a rage fit again, saying that I had no conscience. She also called me a white-eyed wolf(1) and raising me was useless.”

“She refused to see a doctor. Whenever I called for a doctor, she would scold me, saying that I thought she was mentally ill and argued not to receive treatment.”
“Do you want to leave that family?” Xu Xinduo asked in a calm voice.
“Mmhm. My brother already committed suicide, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold on any longer…”
“If you leave that family, you won’t have any more money.”
“No, I’m a lot more awesome than you think; I even have my own store.”
“So you were prepared to leave? Have you been planning for a rainy day(2)?”
