Today, Father Mu provoked Grandma Xu. If he was really dishonest, Tong Yan would have to do it.

“We have nothing to say to each other,” Xu Xinduo refused resolutely.
It turned out that Grandma Xu persuaded her, “Talk to your father and have a good chat.”

Xu Xinduo frowned and looked at Father Mu. She didn’t know what her father was trying to do this time. Was it possible that he wanted to take the ‘warm family route’?
Seeing Xu Xinduo’s solemn expression but remaining silent, Father Mu laughed and said, “I didn’t tell your grandmother anything. I just chatted with her, but it was mostly just about the sadness that remained after knowing my daughter was switched. Both of us can be regarded as sympathetic towards each other as everything was done by that maid. Becoming emotional, your grandma started to weep.”
Xu Xinduo breathed a sigh of relief subconsciously as she didn’t want Grandma Xu to not even pass the New Year’s in peace.
According to the tradition of the elderly, the New Year’s was very important to them.
Xu Xinduo thought, it’s not too late to tell Grandma Xu after all these were handled.
Seeing that Xu Xinduo was still silent, Father Mu took a step towards Xu Xinduo, as if he wanted to pat her shoulders to comfort her, but Xu Xinduo avoided him.
Father Mu didn’t care as he said gently, “I know that when you came back, our way of handling things was not appropriate, which made you feel wronged. These days, I am also reviewing myself and realizing that I was in the wrong. So, after deciding to meet with the Shen family formally after the Chinese New Year to talk about this matter, you will soon be given an official identity.”
Xu Xinduo was not overjoyed or moved by Father Mu’s resignation. Instead, he asked, “If I came from the countryside and behaved rudely, had a bad temper and wasn’t good at anything, would you still make this decision?”
“How is it possible? You are my…daughter!” Father Mu originally wanted to say that she was his biological daughter. After thinking about it, it was not the time to make it public as he was not sure if Tong Yan knew about it or not. Hence, he could only state the obvious.
Xu Xinduo, “But I remember when I first arrived, you said that I was from the countryside. You said I wasn’t good at anything and was lesser than Mu Qingyao, even to the point where I was looked down upon and despised.”
