The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha! Chapter 225

In this world, the most powerful thing was magic. The top-level battles were all decided by magic. There was nothing that strong enough magic couldn’t solve. If there was, it meant there weren’t enough people. Just add more people, those with strong magic power.

A powerful spellcaster needed an immense amount of knowledge and abundant magic power. These both required time. So, longevity was power, the longer you lived, the more meals you ate.

The top of the food chain was always occupied by immortal races. However, this didn’t mean that being an immortal race necessarily made you powerful.

The strength among immortal races also varied greatly.

For example, the worst immortal race—the slime. Yes, just that blob of gooey, glue-like creature. Surprise, right? It was actually an immortal race. There was nothing to be done about it, it could achieve immortality through natural division and its magic sensing ability was so-so. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a brain. Thus, as humans expanded, slimes were turned into soap bars and eventually went extinct across the entire continent.

The most classic immortal races were angels and demons. One served the holy spirit, the other served the demon lord. These two races had clear affiliations and were natural enemies, possessing strong magic sensing abilities, immortality, and were considered semi-magical creatures. They were widely known not just because of their immortality and strength, but also because of their extreme aggressiveness. Simply put, they loved teaching others how to live.

In stark contrast with them were the liches. They were an immortal and reclusive race. Having severed most of their desires, magic became their core pursuit. Pure magical creatures with extraordinary magic sensing abilities, they didn’t need to rest and were born geniuses. Generally speaking, a lich of the same age was stronger than an angel or demon of the same age. After all, from the moment they came into existence, most of their energy was spent improving themselves and rarely did they meddle in other matters.

Of course, there were also intermediary races, such as—the blood clan.

Except for the innate need to go out and get some fresh blood, they, like liches, enjoyed staying at home. However, even among homebodies, there was a difference. Liches were technical homebodies, while the blood clan were lazy homebodies.

When liches were tirelessly studying magic and striving towards magical peaks, the blood clan was falling in love.

When angels and demons were battling like crazy, the blood clan was having babies.

When black dragons were accumulating wealth, the blood clan was researching which perfume was better.

When gold dragons were setting up spatial magic jump nodes, the blood clan was hosting balls and parties. Apart from that, they were also keen on gossiping and spreading all kinds of rumors.

Even the non-immortal elves were diligently studying ancient magic, while the blood clan... well, the blood clan was comparing whose yard was bigger. To them, this question seemed more important than magic.

In short, they focused on their own lives. Over time, although they were also an immortal race, the blood clan, aside from their age, couldn’t keep up with the main force. After slimes went extinct on the Keltos Continent, they successfully took the crown of the most useless immortal race.

Alright, this was actually a good thing. It was said that the blood clan once had a grand celebration. After all, being called the "most useless immortal race" sounded better than being the "immortal race stronger than slimes." It was said that the blood clan played a significant role in the elimination of slimes back in the day.

Maybe this was the real reason for the extinction of slimes, who knew. After all, slime soap wasn’t really that useful.

Whenever someone calculated the power distribution of the various races on the Keltos Continent, they would subconsciously ignore the blood clan. Because in most cases, they seemed to be non-existent.

Jones’s father, Hayman Dracula, was a typical member of the blood clan. Uh... in his own words, he was an elegant and noble blood clan member.

Sucking blood required a straw, bathing involved scattering rose petals, waking up required eating mint leaves, and as long as he was alive, he had to wear perfume.

Monday was for singing gatherings, Tuesday for poetry meetings, Wednesday for chess events, Thursday for art gallery reviews, Friday for concerts, Saturday for resting and sleeping until natural wake, and Sunday was the highlight event—a grand ball!

If there happened to be a typhoon or hailstorm on a particular day, making it unsuitable to go out, he would squeeze in a little time to study magic.

Were vampires afraid of typhoons and hail? Of course not. The reason he didn’t go out was that he felt that going out on such days would damage his noble elegance. Thank God he had a little time left to study magic and wasn’t completely eliminated, otherwise Jones might not have existed at all.

"My greatest hope is that when you grow up, you can become an elegant and noble member of the blood clan like your father, me!" Count Dracula had told Jones this since he was very young.

*Jones scoffed at this.*

*Every race had its outliers, right?*

*For example, Gray among the liches, Vivian among the demons, Tenidas among the bone horses, and Jones among the blood clan.*

*This was a ’man’ who once wanted to conquer the world. Of course, that dream was later shattered when he was adopted by a lich.*

After a brief exchange to deepen the parent-child bond, it was time for dinner. Don’t ask me why it was dinner, the blood clan didn’t have breakfast or lunch, they only had dinner, and every meal was called dinner.

However, before dinner, Jones still needed to take a bath.

"You are covered in the vulgar scent of humans, this is simply terrible. You must take a good bath and change your clothes," the Countess Dracula said.
