The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha! Chapter 341

Andrew turned around, wiped his face, and erased the smile from it. Taking in a sharp breath, he asked in a low voice, "Is there still hope? I mean, you said the adventurer hall has owners, and there are eight adventurer halls. So, eight different owners, right? Has she only signed contracts with you all?"

"The eight adventurer halls are divided among three owners," the guard commander answered quietly, lowering his voice. "Sir, I understand what you mean. But the word has spread. Linlopes won’t find a single adventurer hall willing to sign with her. She’s on the blacklist for every adventurer hall. If you really want to take up tasks, it’s best not to get too close to her. Otherwise, people will have concerns. After all, you might be the same type of person. You’re a Blood Elf—I can tell your magic is pretty decent. Not as terrifying as a dragon, but still lethal when something goes wrong."

As he spoke, the guard commander straightened up and stared at Andrew meaningfully.

Andrew wiped away his sweat and silently locked eyes with him. After a while, Andrew smiled, lightly patted the guard commander on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "I understand. Thank you. Thank you for telling me so much."

"No need to thank me. I just don’t want there to be a second person like her—or should I say, dragon."

"Whatever the case, thank you."

"Could you persuade her to leave? After all, she is a dragon, and we don’t want to use force. I mean, we don’t want her using force against us."

"Alright, I’ll help you solve this problem as a way of thanking you for all the information."

With a snap of his fingers, Andrew swaggered over to Christina.

Christina asked eagerly, "How did it go? What did you two talk about?"

"Not much. I asked him about today’s tasks, and he told me everything," Andrew said, frowning. "Today’s tasks aren’t great; the key is that there are no suitable tasks for us. Maybe we should come back later; there might be new ones."

Christina paused in surprise. "Really? Is that what you talked about?"

"Of course. What else would we talk about?"

"I thought you were discussing..." Christina looked as though she wanted to say something but stopped herself. Then, after a moment’s thought, she smiled with relief and chose not to continue.

"Alright, let’s head back for now and take another look later," said Andrew, turning back to give the guard commander a meaningful glance.

"Right!" the guard commander quickly echoed. "There’s nothing suitable for you today! This month, there probably won’t be anything either!"

Christina leaned closer and whispered, "Did you tell him your name?"

"I don’t know much, even though you’re a famously renowned Mercenary Corps Commander. But I feel like he definitely knows. I thought we’d be kicked out for sure. You must have told him your name."

Christina’s eyes sparkled with admiration.

"Ah... yes. Of course, I told him my name. He’s particularly impressed by me." Andrew helplessly spread his hands. "Come on, let’s go back and take another look later. A renowned Mercenary Corps Commander shouldn’t waste time in such noisy places—it makes us seem like a tiny mercenary group."

"Aren’t we a tiny mercenary group?" Christina asked in surprise.

Andrew extended a finger and said seriously, "No, with you and me here, we are not a tiny mercenary group."

With an excited Christina in tow, and under the watchful gazes of the guards, Andrew swaggered out of the adventurer guild. His mischievous eyes remained half-closed the whole time.

It seemed the path of a mercenary wasn’t as smooth as one might hope, especially when saddled with a foolish dragon. However, as long as the other party wasn’t someone like Gray, the kind of idiot who solves problems with brute force alone, there’s nothing that can’t be resolved, right?

Solutions are always within reach.
