Taking the form, Barnes glanced down at it: "You didn’t fill in the position you’re running for."
"I don’t know what positions are available yet. How about you fill it in for me?"
"How would I know what you want? Uh... alright, I see, you’re after the money. Let’s just go with the position with the highest subsidy." Saying that, Barnes casually filled it in for Angel: "The position with the highest subsidy is in the Vein Council, but it requires a Level Three Magic Power certification. What level was your last magic certification?"
"Level Six?" Barnes froze for a moment, then suddenly tilted her head back in astonishment at Angel.

What is Magic Power certification?
It’s a test to measure how much magic power a mage can store. It’s considered one of the most straightforward ways to assess a mage’s abilities—brutally simple, actually. Because it’s so crude, it’s faced a lot of opposition from Blood Elf Magic Masters, since a mage’s prowess isn’t just about raw magic power; knowledge and experience matter too.
However, you have to admit that knowledge and experience are notoriously difficult to evaluate. If two mages have different areas of expertise, their knowledge and experience aren’t even comparable—not just difficult to compare, but downright impossible. Magic power, on the other hand, applies across the board to all mages.
A Level Six Magic Power certification, in the Blood Elf community, is roughly equivalent to the skill level of a mid-tier mage. Generally speaking, magic apprentices need to slog through their studies until graduation to reach that level.
So when Angel, who has only been enrolled for a year, achieves this certification, is the Magic Academy stunned?
