The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha! Chapter 610

Silver Moon, Year Six, October.

Based on the timeline, at this moment in Giant Snake City, Jones had already completed the initial production capacity allocation of the new weapon, and even the first batch of magic equipment had been delivered to some lords. Although there were few, their power was revolutionary, to the point that unless Angels and demons intervened personally, the humans under their control would be utterly unable to resist.

Change is happening across the continent.

If it were before Gray appeared, probably no noble would have supported such a transformation. A commoner, once he acquired a piece of magic equipment and successfully established consciousness linkage, could easily defeat any well-trained Knight.

In a way, this was a subversion of the human power system.

However, now that a great enemy was before them, as stakeholders, almost all of the lords chose to remain silent about this impending subversion.

Otherwise? What else could they do? This probably reconfirmed why all of humanity’s great transformations always occurred before immense crises. Individual humans might be progressive, but collectively, humans were decadent. Only a crisis could compel them to grow.

Different from the undercurrents in the human-controlled regions, Luo Ge Xian Ni was a place of peace and tranquility.

At least, for Cartier’s Blood Elf Magic Academy, it was.

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the holy tree leaves, sprinkling onto the plaza of the Magic Academy. Occasionally, a gust of autumn wind blew past, with falling leaves withering away, looking like a red rain was falling.

On days like these, no matter how you tried to sweep the leaves, it was impossible to clean them all up. So, the Housekeeping Committee simply ignored them.

Everywhere were the yellowing leaves, and groups of three or five magic apprentices strolled on them, creating a rather romantic feeling.

Despite the "atmosphere of terror" that Angel created still persisting and even gradually, many magic apprentices, aside from Angel, began to exploit their powers for personal gain. The ethos of the Magic Academy was deteriorating. But after all, the Blood Elf Magic Academy was extensive and well-established; this commotion was not enough to shake its foundation.

Library, Dark Section Reading Room.

Angel sat alone in the reading room, flipping through volumes of heavy dark text.

His slightly lowered gaze moved rapidly back and forth over the obscure and tongue-twisting text. His lips occasionally trembled, as if silently reciting incantations. Like a sponge, wildly absorbing moisture.

The demon squatting on the long table donned glasses, wore a secretary-like formal outfit, and flipped through its notebook, saying: "It’s now 2:50 PM. At 4:00 PM, you need to head to the administrative building for a Vein Council meeting, the agenda being the work arrangement for the upcoming week. Though you probably don’t need to prepare anything, Daniel will sort everything out for you. You just need to show up, sit at the back until the meeting ends. It should take about an hour."

"After the meeting, there’s a post-meeting. Daniel and Div seem to have some conflict recently, you have to mediate. After all, you need the Vein Council to gain benefits, don’t you? So this must be done."

"Since it’s heard you’ve passed the eighth-level magic power test, the High Sect... or Aurora, extended an invitation for you to join the High Sect. I think maybe you should consider joining."

The demon pushed its glasses, staring at Angel.

"No, I don’t want to join the High Sect." Flipping through the pages, Angel replied casually, "After last time, the High Sect’s reputation was in tatters. I shouldn’t give them an opportunity to bolster their prestige."

"But perhaps they mean to surrender. You must know, your reputation in the Magic Academy is not good. Though your joining could uplift their reputation in some aspects, on the other hand, it actually acts as a blow. Those who hate you will also hate them." Updates are released by novel-fire.net

"Do you think I should join them?"

"I think you should, after all, having more friends is better than having more enemies. There’s no need to push them to the opposite side. You already have plenty of people causing you trouble."

Taking a deep breath, Angel replied, "Alright, I’ll join them."

"Okay, then it’s settled." The demon continued flipping through its notebook: "You need to return home for dinner by six in the evening, no later than seven. Otherwise, there might be problems. Your mother recently started having some issues with you. If problems arise at home, it could consume a lot of your energy."

"Also Mosharili, she’s no longer as keen on the work of the Vein Council as before. But she’s one of the few around you that you can trust, maybe you should pay more attention to her. Although I don’t know how to focus, nor how to solve it. I’m just giving you a heads up."

"Qili wants to invite you for an outing this weekend, it’s her third time asking. You promised her you would reply at the latest today. I know you don’t want to go, but you better think of a sensible excuse to refuse. Try to avoid any conflict with her. After all, the foundation of the Silent Spellcasting Group is neither fully absorbed nor completely destroyed."

"Barnes seems to have discovered the secret that your brother is Andrew, she actually hinted at it last time. Luckily she hasn’t planned to expose it yet... but I think for your own safety, maybe you should tone it down a bit."
