Chapter 138: Chapter 138 Trouble Comes Knocking
In the hospital, Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan were whispering continuously. Little Taotie, “You’re right, there really are a lot of Spiritual Bodies here.”
Hua Jinyan tightened his prayer beads once more and said quietly, “Stop looking around. They are neither Evil Spirits nor vengeful spirits, so they can’t become your little snacks.”
“I’m just looking, I won’t do anything to them. Look, that sister over there is so pretty!”
Hua Jinyan glanced over, then quickly looked down and pretended to see nothing, saying in a hushed voice, “These are all newly deceased Spiritual Bodies, queuing up for reincarnation. They only make a brief stop at the hospital. Don’t let them think we can see them, or they will come to us, and it’ll be troublesome.”
“Troublesome?” Little Taotie didn’t understand.
Before Hua Jinyan could reply, that pretty sister floated over, asking excitedly, “Little kid, can you see me?”
Hua Jinyan sighed, frustrated, “I told you to keep it down. See, trouble has come.”
Little Taotie tilted her head and looked at the pretty sister in confusion, not understanding what sort of trouble she could cause.
“Can you help me tell the police that I didn’t commit suicide? They’ve got it wrong! The case can’t close !”
Little Taotie, still clueless, watched the agitated pretty sister, beginning to grasp what Hua Jinyan meant by “trouble has come.”
Hua Jinyan covered his forehead with his hand, sighing.
The pretty sister, as if determined to achieve her goal, kept following Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan, incessantly muttering to herself.

With joy and kindness, she said, “Both of your checkup reports came out excellent, I’m relieved your health is good. But let’s not eat those things for now. Wait until Grandma asks some experts in Mysticism recognized by my old sisters, just to make sure it won’t harm you and will only do you good, then you can eat, okay?”
Little Taotie licked her lips, craving, whispered softly, “But… chocolate and Candy really taste so good.”
“Grandma will take you to the mall to buy Chocolate and Candy. Eat the bought Chocolate and Candy to satisfy your craving first, alright?”
Little Taotie peeked at Hua Jinyan, and seeing he did not object, she reluctantly muffled her agreement, “Well… okay, then.”
The little girl sulked with a pout, looking sad and dejected.
Tian Leran loved her granddaugther more with every glance.
If it had been the other child before, even a slight displeasure would not have been bottled up, but would have immediately led to crying and shouting, throwing a tantrum until getting what she wanted.
No way she would have been like Little Taotie, reluctantly agreeing with a muffled voice despite being unwilling inside.
