Gu Yixing’s face turned cold, “There’s been an accident on set, and instead of investigating the cause, you’re turning to superstition.”
“Well, I don’t believe it, and I’ll be holding you accountable for this accident.”
Director Chen was furious. He had spent a lot of money to have the costume examined and had found the cause, yet Gu Yixing wouldn’t believe it!
“Come with me, I’ve got a professional I want you to talk to!” Director Chen dragged him away.
Hua Jinyan walked over to Little Taotie and asked, “Going back?”
Little Taotie nodded, took a monkey-patterned chocolate from his pocket, and fed it to Hua Jinyan’s mouth while he took another for himself.
Hua Jinyan did not refuse and ate the chocolate Little Taotie fed him.
Gu Yixing was pulled by Director Chen into a mysterious room, where Ma Ming was meditating with his eyes closed. Upon seeing the visitor, he curled the corners of his mouth.
“Seems like you don’t believe?”, Ma Ming inquired.
Gu Yixing frowned at the man who was even more handsome than he was, which made him even less inclined to believe.
He suspected this was an actor trying to make his debut by using the situation to get close to Director Chen and himself.
Ma Ming handed him eye drops with a playful tone, “They’ll let you see the supernatural world for twelve hours. Cherish this rare opportunity.”
“Oh, right! Let me introduce myself. My surname is Ma, and I’m also Little Taotie’s teacher in mysticism.” Ma Ming pulled the red cloth bag from Gu Yixing’s hand, “I’ll keep this for now.”
“So this is what Little Taotie wanted to give me!”
Gu Yixing, suspecting that both Little Taotie and her agent had been fooled, decided to test the eye drops with the intention of exposing the trick.

Both Director Chen and Ma Ming left, Gu Yixing picked up the costume to examine it, applied the eye drops and looked again, and suddenly, he became completely still.
Through his eyes, the costume seemed to burst into flames, releasing black smoke that drifted in every direction.
A vile-looking monkey fazed through the window. It was transparent, more like a being of light.
It charged straight at the costume. Gu Yixing let go instinctively, and as the costume hit the floor, he saw the monkey tearing wildly at it. Although it was transparent and caused no physical damage, the black areas on the costume visibly shrank in size.
Several more bizarre monkeys came through the window, each of them rushing toward the costume as soon as they entered.
Gu Yixing took a deep breath and kept his distance from these frenzied monkeys.
Yet, he still refused to believe it, shouting at the door, “Don’t think I don’t know. Are you using special effects lighting, huh? The person creating such lifelike effects has to be a top-level lighting designer, right?”
“Stop messing around, I’ve already seen through your tricks!”
A long time passed without any response, while the number of monkeys that rushed in kept increasing.
Gu Yixing took another deep breath and slowly moved to the window, pulling up the curtains while shouting, “Let’s see how you manage special effects lighting now! No light can get in!”
The moment the curtain was drawn, the room plunged into darkness. Gu Yixing turned on his phone’s flashlight, only to see that the monkeys were still there!
