Chapter 497: Chapter 497 Little Milk Voice’s Self-Introduction
Little Taotie found her seat, and Hua Jinyan was sitting right next to her. She whispered, “Are we desk mates?”
Hua Jinyan nodded, “From now on we’ll be desk mates.”
“That’s great!” Little Taotie covered her small mouth, giggled happily, and was extremely delighted.

The bell for the start of class rang, and Teacher Yuan first introduced himself, then asked the children to introduce themselves one by one.
When it was Little Taotie’s turn, she mustered up her courage to stand on the podium. Facing the small, enthusiastically swaying flowers on her classmates’ heads, her little face turned red as she spoke in a milky voice, “My name is Tao Ti.”
She turned around, wrote her full name on the blackboard–Tao Ti!
“I also have a stage name, called Little Taotie.”
“I like building models, singing and dancing, and I love all sorts of delicious food!”
She touched her little belly, giggled, and said, “I have a big appetite, I’m a natural Big Stomach King, my big brother took me for a checkup, and there’s nothing wrong with me, I’m very healthy! It’s just that I have a big appetite and eat more than the average person, it probably has to do with my martial arts training too!”
“My favorite food is chocolate, hee hee!”
Little Taotie bowed, “That’s all for my introduction, I hope you all will like me, please give me your guidance in the future, my classmates~”
The kids below clapped furiously, and even some naughty boys cheered loudly, “Little Taotie! Little Taotie! Little Taotie~~~”
With her little face blushing, Little Taotie walked down from the podium, took her seat, let out a sigh of relief, and whispered, “So nervous, I almost forgot my lines, I prepared for so long.”
“Your self-introduction was great, everyone will probably remember you because of it.”
“Hee hee, that’s good.” Little Taotie covered her mouth and giggled furtively.
After the self-introductions of two students, it was Hua Jinyan’s turn. He walked up to the podium with steady steps, “My name is Hua Jinyan.”
Turning around, he wrote his name on the blackboard.
The characters Hua Jinyan were neat and proper, just like him, expressionless, executed with meticulous formality, as if assembled from blocks of ice.
“My hobby is astronomy, please take care of me, that’s all.”
It was so brief that before everyone had time to react, he had already returned to his seat.
Teacher Yuan felt a bit of a headache.
–Was this little boy too cool or what?
Helplessly, Teacher Yuan moved past the awkward silence, calling on the next student.
Once all thirty new first-grade pupils had finished their introductions, they began their formal schooling in primary school.
As they were all just starting out, and fearing they might become tired of a heavy first day, the initial curriculum was designed to be very relaxed, usually having a main course followed by classes like music or art.
In music class, Little Taotie was surprised to find that all her classmates could play the piano, even Hua Jinyan played beautifully.
Both Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan had learned for a while with Grandma Fensi, but Little Taotie looked at her little chubby hands and thought that maybe because they were too plump, they were not flexible at all.
Little Taotie was greatly discouraged during music class, and then again felt crushed during art class.
The other students were too outstanding, making Little Taotie feel like a little fool who only knew how to eat, drink, and play.
With a sullen face, Little Taotie faced physical education class!
Finally, during PE, Little Taotie’s confidence had returned!
And so, a day passed, filled with little joys, some disappointments, a bit of excitement, and a touch of pride.
