Little Taotie covered his eyes and muttered, "That’s too harsh on the eyes!"
Hua Jinyan couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Seeing that it couldn’t scare Little Taotie to tears, the Ghost turned its head to see another child present and shifted its target, hoping to scare Hua Jinyan. But before it could get close, it felt a terrifying presence and the fear that it was about to be scattered to the winds, which made it quickly put distance between them.
It swiftly retreated back among its fellow Ghosts, drawing their attention.
"What’s going on, big brother?"
"Hurry up and scare these two little brats to tears!"
"I want to taste their fear!"
"Aren’t you the one who enjoys watching those little brats cry from fright the most, who loves the taste of their terror?"
"What are you scared of? Why are you hiding behind us?"
The disfigured Ghost trembled violently, still shaken, its voice quivering, "Look at the bracelet he’s wearing, see for yourselves!"
It had been so close, just a fraction away from touching that little boy. If it had touched him, perhaps... it would have been reduced to ashes in an instant?
The other Ghosts looked over and saw the boy’s wrist, and they all began to gasp in shock.
"Its presence was masked, we almost didn’t notice it!"
"This must be deliberate, right? The presence is hidden, we couldn’t detect it, and if we accidentally got close... wouldn’t we end up dead as a doornail?"
"You’re already dead, not dead as a doornail, but utterly dissipated!"
"Right, right, right, utterly dissipated, not a trace left!"
The Ghosts chattered amongst themselves and gradually dispersed.
The Ghosts in the cave vanished, the bats flew away, leaving behind an empty cavern where even the slightest sound echoed.
Xiangxiang made an "ah" sound toward the depths of the cave.
"Ah, ah, ah—," echoes resounded.
Xiangxiang could hardly believe it, "If I didn’t know I had walked into a shipping container, I would have thought this was a real cave."
Suddenly, the ground shook violently and the floor cracked open!
"Heavens!" Xiangxiang exclaimed.
Mo Haihao grabbed onto a rock face but quickly let go on purpose.
The group of four fell through the split ground, landing on a slide and sliding down it.
The farther they slid, the stronger the scent of blood became in front of their noses.
A howling of wolves rose in the air.
The four fell into a sand pit surrounded by several "dogs"!
What appeared to be dogs, upon closer inspection, turned out to be wolves dyed in various colors and disguised as Samoyeds, Huskies, and wolf-dogs, with their tails tucked down—wolves!
"They’re all wolves!" Xiangxiang took a deep breath.
Mo Haihao’s expression turned grim.
Below the shipping container lay a basement, and the Haunted House not only had genuine Ghosts, but also packs of wolves!
Wolves are naturally pack animals, and while he could contend with them individually, there were seven wolves here.
Seeing his grim expression, Xiangxiang realized they were in serious trouble and took another big swig from her flask for courage.
Little Taotie looked at the seven large "dogs" in front of him and cheered, "Wow! Puppies, so cute!"
Mo Haihao looked at her strangely.
Xiangxiang caught on and pushed Mo Haihao, joining Little Taotie in her shout, "It’s a Samoyed! My favorite, Smiling Angel!"

Now they were still guests, ones who had bought tickets to bravely explore the Haunted House. It was entirely unlikely they would think there were real wolves here, seeing them merely as adorable pups!
"So cool, these dogs are so well-groomed, their fur shines! Quick, take a few photos of me!" Xiangxiang handed over her phone to him, smiling as she got up and approached one of the snow-white "Samoyeds."
Mo Haihao sweated for her and feigned composure, "Okay, I’ll take your picture, and you’ll take mine afterwards!"
