Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Cute Little Mermaid
The sunlight shone on the clear lake surface, the wind stirred up ripples across the water, creating countless sparkles that scattered like a beautiful and radiant galaxy.
A blue mermaid tail surfaced, scattering droplets like tiny stars before diving back into the water, followed by three smaller tails – one gold, one red, and one green.
The tails disappeared beneath the water, and three little heads popped up.
The three little girls had twinkling eyes, which made them look very pretty.
Especially Tao Ti’s eyes, which were the brightest and prettiest of the three, with her eyelashes wet from the water, droplets lingering on the long lashes and sliding down from the corners of her eyes with a blink.
“Stop following me,” a woman’s voice rang out.
The three little girls exchanged looks, revealing mischievous and cute smiles.
With her tail swishing, Lin Zhi’s mermaid tail, a vibrant and lively green, said, “Lan Wei sister, you’ve been acting strange lately! Why do you keep visiting that injured human? Do you like him?”
Lan Wei glared at her irritably, “At your young age, what do you know about liking someone?”
Lin Zhi tilted her head, thought for a long time, and not knowing how to express it, she pouted: “Anyway, I just know!”
Just as Orange was about to speak, they heard the director shout, “Cut!”
“Orange, you’re supposed to laugh mischievously before you speak, not have a blank expression!”
Orange felt annoyed inside – she was sure she had smiled.
What was the director thinking?
Could it be he was deliberately giving her a hard time because of what happened earlier? No way, right?
Although very discontented inside, Orange showed a docile and compliant smile, “Okay, I got it!”
The director nodded, “Continue!”
Shooting resumed, and Orange giggled, “Constant longing, always wanting to meet – that’s liking! Sister Lan Wei always visits him and worries about his wounds, that’s clearly liking him!”
Lan Wei was startled and playfully splashed water in Orange’s face with her tail.
Caught in the crossfire, poor Tao Ti also got splashed, wiping her face indignantly.
Lan Wei moved closer to the huffy Tao Ti, “It’s my fault, sister didn’t mean to splash Tao Tao.”
Tao Ti looked up at Lan Wei, who was close at hand, and blurted out, “Sister, you’re so pretty!”
That line wasn’t in the script, but Xiao Tao Ti had already said it.
Since Lan Wei didn’t hear the director call cut, she ad-libbed, reaching out to touch Xiao Tao Ti’s face, “Our Tao Tao will grow up to be a very beautiful mermaid too.”
Tao Ti smiled shyly, and the director said, “Close-up on her dimples, give us a big close-up of those Little Dimples!”
At that moment, everybody could tell that the director was a dimple fanatic!
The shooting went on until it got dark, and they temporarily stopped.
It was actually getting a bit cold, and as the three kids came out of the water, staff quickly approached to dry them off with big towels.
The director praised Lin Zhi and Tao Ti but notably did not praise Orange, which made her feel unjustified but she dared not say anything.
The “Finding the Leading Lady” program had arranged dormitories for the kids, placing them in rooms of three according to their teams.
As soon as they returned to the dormitory, Orange rushed into the bathroom and locked the door.
“Hurry up, we’re eager to take a bath too!” Lin Zhi knocked on the door unhappily.
An hour went by and Orange still hadn’t come out.
“Did you fall into the toilet? Hurry up and come out!” Lin Zhi lost her temper, her knocking sounded like she was pounding the door.
Orange, sitting on the toilet lid playing with her phone, realized she couldn’t stall any longer and pretended she had just finished using the toilet, flushing it.
She walked out, holding her stomach and with a pitiful expression, “I’m not feeling well, my stomach hurts, sorry about that.”
