"Hiss!" Big White Wolf drew a sharp breath and looked back.
Little Taotie blinked innocently, spreading his small hands, with white fur resting in the palm.
"I wanted to grab you and not let you go, and accidentally... plucked a handful of fur."
Big White Wolf: "..."
"Puppy, don’t be mad~"
Big White Wolf got even angrier, grinding his teeth, "I am a wolf! A wolf! A wolf——"
Little Taotie’s big eyes, clearly defined in black and white, were filled with confusion as he looked the "puppy" up and down, unable to see any sign that it was a wolf!
"You... don’t look like a wolf at all."
"Heehee, puppy, it’s not right to lie, you know!"
Little Taotie hugged its "Dog Head" and rubbed it, pressing his little cheek against its fur, "Wolves don’t have such fluffy, soft fur~"
Having seen cartoons, Little Taotie knew that wolves had coarse fur, so he didn’t believe Big White Wolf’s words at all.
Big White Wolf repeated once more, "I am a wolf! A wolf! A wolf wolf wolf!"
Helplessly, once a human little cub is set on something, even shouting till one’s voice breaks won’t change their mind.
Big White Wolf hung his head in defeat, "It doesn’t matter whether I am a wolf or a dog now, I’m going to die anyway."
Little Taotie looked puzzled, "Are you seriously ill?"
The wolf shook its head, its brow furrowed with worry.
"If you’re not seriously ill, why would you die?"
"You won’t understand even if I told you, human little cub you should run, the place ahead is no good, the farther away the better."
Little Taotie sniffed the air, "What a delicious smell of roasted meat, why can’t I go over?"
"There’s an old fellow over there who eats children."
"He forced me to bite a piece of a child’s flesh and trade it for a piece of roasted donkey meat. He has forced many of my kindred to do the same, those who disobey get shocked, beaten severely, and many don’t survive a night before they die."
Big White Wolf heaved a sigh, "I can’t escape death either."
Little Taotie understood, the "puppy" was going to be beaten to death!
Thinking of the little puppet that was nearly killed by an evil woman’s abuse, Little Taotie clenched his small fists, his gaze fierce yet cute, "Puppy, take me with you, I’ll help you fight the bad guys!"
"He is very powerful, you’re no match for him."
"I know martial arts, and I’m very strong!" Little Taotie straightened his back confidently.
The wolf head shook, sighing, "He has weapons, and a robot with a cast-iron body. We have rebelled before, gathering to try to bite him to death, but he’s too powerful."
"Robot?" Little Taotie thought of his brother’s vacuum cleaning robot and was not afraid at all, standing tall, "Definitely not as tough as me!"
Big White Wolf hesitated, looking skeptically at her.
Little Taotie pointed towards the bright direction, "Is the bad guy over there? You wait, I’ll go catch the bad guy right now!"
I am the Fierce Beast that even Evil Spirits would avoid by three feet and that shudders in fear at the sight of me!
"Awwoo!" Little Taotie growled in an adorably fierce manner, confidence coming naturally.
Little Taotie dashed towards the brightness, while Big White Wolf panicked and hurried after him, persuading as he chased, "Little cub, so naive as not to fear a tiger, don’t be foolish. You’re an egg, you can’t win against that old rock!"
Little Taotie clenched his small fists tighter, "Anyone who bullies puppies is a bad guy! I am a little detective from the Special Department, I must fight for justice! I am a hero, I will never let any baddies off the hook lightly!"
Big White Wolf: "... Little cub, if you can’t win, you better jump on my back quickly, and I’ll carry you away. Don’t be a hero!"
