In the study, Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin sat next to each other, with Gu Yixing sitting across from them.
Cheng Guodong frowned, "Are you a sticking plaster?"
Qin Xin smiled, "Even a sticking plaster isn’t this hard to shake off, right? I’m afraid it’s more of an old remedy."

Qin Xin smiled, "I think Little Taotie already has enough brothers, no need for one more."
Cheng Guodong nodded, "Right, no need for another one."
Gu Yixing sighed, "You two brothers must have already investigated my past, you know me well, don’t you?"

Cheng Guodong frowned, "Are there really people who insist on being the younger brother?"
Qin Xin sighed, "If you didn’t want us to find out about your past, I believe you’re capable enough to prevent us from finding out. Whatever we find out is perhaps only what you wanted us to know."

He lifted the corners of his mouth, his smile turning malicious, "After all, I am someone who has climbed out of the mire; there’s nothing I can’t do."
Cheng Guodong frowned.

Gu Yixing left behind lots of tasty treats, then patted Little Taotie on the head, gave Hua Jinyan a smile as if to say "you know how it is," and then he left.
Little Taotie shared the snacks with Hua Jinyan, who refused and gave all the portions meant for him to Little Taotie.
