After the Parents’ Meeting, Qin Xin received a phone call and had to go somewhere else, while Gu Yixing and Cheng Guodong returned to the villa.
Gu Yixing brought a gift to celebrate with Little Taotie for coming second in her class.
Cheng Guodong, however, sought out Hua Jinyan for a confrontation.
Qin Xin had thought Cheng Guodong was just being unreasonable and complained without thinking, but never expected him to actually go find Hua Jinyan.
Cheng Guodong blocked Hua Jinyan’s path; he was so tall that Hua Jinyan could only look up at him.
Cheng Guodong said with a stern face, "You are first in the class."
Hua Jinyan corrected, "First in the entire school."
Cheng Guodong was taken aback, the words at the tip of his tongue suddenly elusive.
He had wanted to demand: Why didn’t you just rank second, intentionally get a few questions wrong, let your sister have first place, and enjoy the summer holiday happily? How nice would that be!
But now he couldn’t utter those words because if Hua Jinyan deliberately made mistakes, although she could still maintain second place in her class, she would miss out on the honor of being first in the whole school. That was an honor for the entire class, and even if Little Taotie came first in the class, there would still be someone ranked above her in the whole school.
Hua Jinyan squinted, assessing Cheng Guodong’s ever-changing facial expressions, as if a palette of colors had been overturned.
Hua Jinyan squinted and asked, "Do you want me to perform worse on the exams?"
Cheng Guodong was stunned, bewildered at how he knew.

"Because what you’re thinking is all written on your face."
Cheng Guodong: "..." Kids are too smart, they really do become annoying!
"Then why don’t you let her have it?"
Hua Jinyan lowered his gaze, "Such behavior, wouldn’t it be deceiving her?"
Cheng Guodong was taken aback again.
Hua Jinyan lifted his eyes; his pupils deep as if there was a massive whirlpool, "I don’t want to lie to her, and she wouldn’t want to attain first place that way either."
The Parents’ Meeting had ended, and the students received their summer holiday homework that very afternoon. At that moment, a two-month-long vacation had begun!
Little Taotie started writing furiously.
Cheng Guodong placed cut fruits by her side and also brewed a cup of sweet cocoa milk to put on the table.
When Qin Xin returned, he was surprised, "Isn’t it the holiday now?"
Little Taotie in her milky voice, "I’m doing my summer homework."
Qin Xin, "Does it need to be done so urgently?"
Little Taotie shook her head vigorously, "I need to finish the homework first, and then make a summer vacation plan."

Given that they were elementary students and the teachers wanted them to enjoy their first summer holiday, the amount of homework was minimal.
Little Taotie then took an A4 paper, drew lines on it with a ruler, and prepared to make a plan.
"This will be my summer vacation plan. I’m going to organize my itinerary for the next two months of the holiday."
"You should just play during the holiday, what’s with making a chart? It looks like a work schedule," Cheng Guodong walked over, shook his head disapprovingly, and handed her a box of blueberries, "Have some blueberries, they’re good for your eyes."
Little Taotie took the blueberries, popping them into her mouth while speaking, "It is a work schedule; I want to work hard during the summer vacation!"
