The fans began to stir, and Yin Zhizhi's expression changed slightly upon hearing their words.
The fans had blocked the entire path, making it impossible for her to leave.
Not good.
Yin Zhizhi pulled down her hoodie and mask, smiling as she said, "I'm not Senior Xiao, but she should be coming soon. Could you all please make way? We need to get through."
Some fans were a bit disappointed that it wasn't the person they liked, but others recognized Yin Zhizhi, who had just returned to the country a few days ago, and came up to greet her.
"Yin Zhizhi, why haven't there been any updates about your whereabouts lately?"
"Where has Zhizhi been? Will you be participating in any shows soon?"
Some bystanders and paparazzi were asking questions as well.
The photographers beside them were persistently taking pictures in her face.
Yin Zhizhi only had one female assistant with her, who was desperately trying to hold the crowd back, but some people still tried to push forward.
Suddenly, a tall man stood in front of Yin Zhizhi - it was Ji Huan, who looked at the crowd coldly, "It's late, Yin Zhizhi needs to go back and rest."
As fans of Xiao Xiangyun, the fans had recognized Ji Huan, her former manager.
"It's Ji Huan, Xiangyun's ex-manager."
"Ji Huan, thank you for taking care of Xiangyun for a few months."
"Mr. Ji, do you and Xiangyun still keep in touch? We've heard that you two have a very good relationship and contact each other often, is that true?"
Ji Huan held one hand up to block the crowd and took Yin Zhizhi's wrist with the other, "Stay close to me, so you don't get pushed away."
Yin Zhizhi nodded obediently and walked closely beside him.
Ji Huan ignored all the questions and quickly led them away from the crowd.
Some people were furious and muttered under their breath in annoyance.
"Is Ji Huan Yin Zhizhi's manager now?"
"It's only been two months since Manager Ji took on a new artist. Yin Zhizhi just has an Actress mother, while our Xiangyun worked so hard to get Ji Huan as her manager. Now that Zhizhi is back, she already has such good resources allocated to her."
Ji Huan and Yin Zhizhi had already left the crowd, but they weren't deaf - they could hear the whispers.
Ji Huan's expression darkened slightly, but he didn't say anything.
Once they got into the car, Ji Huan finally released Yin Zhizhi's wrist.
"In the future, try not to engage in such situations. Once you fully resume work, we'll release your schedule updates, and fans will be there to pick you up at the airport. When interacting with fans, you need to dress fashionably and be friendly." Ji Huan instructed her, but then noticed her odd expression.
Yin Zhizhi had been in high spirits at the airport earlier, but now she was curled up on the seat, silent and without her usual lively smile.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"There's no need to be upset by those idle comments."
Yin Zhizhi turned to look at him, "If it weren't for my mother being an Actress, would you still take me on?"
Ji Huan had only been guessing before, but now he was certain of her thoughts - many star kids often feel overshadowed by their parents' success.
Ji Huan relaxed and looked out the window, "Because of Yin Actress, the company arranged for me to work with you."
As expected - her expression became even more dejected.
But then the man continued, "However, my choice to take you on as my artist is something you earned yourself. Don't you remember what you said to me in the office that day?"
Ji Huan turned to look at her.
Yin Zhizhi lifted her head, the dullness in her eyes gradually brightening as she smiled and said coyly, "Of course I remember how I persuaded Big Manager Ji to take me on."
Ji Huan doesn't let anyone's connections influence his choice of artists - the artists themselves have to attract his interest.
"You wanted to act in the role for the movie I'm investing in?"
