“I know, yes,” He Miao answered gloomily and hung up. She was still hesitating whether he should call Jing Yan to report her schedule when Jing Yan’s call came in.
“Which room are you in?” He stood in the empty hotel lobby and asked directly.
“4102,” He Miao answered subconsciously. Then, she realized something and asked in shock, “How did you know which hotel I’m at?”
The call was suddenly hung up. He Miao paced back and forth at the door, as anxious as Onion, who had been waiting for her to come home every time.
Someone knocked on the door very quickly. He Miao opened the door in fear and saw a man wrapped in a gust of wind barging in.
He Miao was startled, but because the person in front of her was Jing Yan, she quickly regained her composure.
“What are you doing here?”
“He Miao, you really don’t want to come with me?” Jing Yan did not answer her question. Instead, he grabbed her wrist and asked her a question. His eyes no longer had the warmth they usually had, and they were filled with grievance.
“No, it’s not that I did not want to come with you.” I just don’t know what identity I should use to make you participate in the competition with me.”
He Miao struggled to free herself from his grip, but to Jing Yan, her words and actions were no different from a direct rejection.

Jing Yan looked at her in surprise, and the gloominess that had been hovering in his chest for the whole day dissipated a little. “I forgot to tell you just now. Because this hotel is close to the competition venue, all the rooms have been booked,” he said.
“Then you can go back to stay.” This time, He Miao turned around and refused without mercy.
Jing Yan quickly followed her. There were only ten minutes left before he turned into a dog, and it was too late to drive back. He could only shamelessly lie down on the bed first and obediently occupy a small part of the bed. He smiled and said, “I’m just going to sleep for a while. If there’s anything, we can talk after I wake up.”
“Hey! Jing Yan!” He Miao reached out to pull him back, but he grabbed her wrist instead.
Jing Yan stared at her without blinking and said with a smile, “You didn’t chase me away just now. Be good, I’m really just going to sleep for a while. You know that I’m not in good health. I might suddenly fall asleep while talking.”
“Rascal!” He Miao wanted to swallow her softhearted self whole. As expected, the last thing a woman should do was to feel sorry for a man!
She pulled her hand back angrily and rolled her eyes at him. She walked to the other side and pulled the only blanket to her side. She also took her bag and placed it in the middle. “Once you’ve slept enough, leave!”
“Alright,” he said. “Okay!” Jing Yan agreed happily. He was in a good mood, and soon fell asleep after closing his eyes.
When he opened his eyes again, he was unsurprisingly a stupid dog curled up at the end of the bed.
He Miao was still sulking when she suddenly caught a glimpse of the man beside him, who had fallen asleep at some point. She snorted coldly and lay down in the blanket angrily, wrapping himself tightly.
Jing Yan crawled to her pillow and rubbed against her blanket.
As expected, He Miao opened up a small gap for him, and Jing Yan successfully lay down in the blanket that was filled with her fragrance. Only his head was exposed, and his eyes were wide open, staring at her in a daze.
He Miao was not so kind as to fall asleep right away when a man fell asleep beside her. However, as time passed, the time on her phone showed a new day. Behind her, Jing Yan had been sleeping soundly the whole time, and finally, she felt sleepy.
No matter how much she resisted sleeping, she could not help but be overwhelmed by the sleepiness that kept washing away her consciousness.
Jing Yan blinked his eyes and looked at her. Finally, she could not help but fall asleep.
