182 A Joke Delivered To The Door
According to the address, Li Xi knocked on He Miao’s door. Hearing the sound of running water, she guessed that the person inside was taking a shower.
He Miao had indeed just taken a shower. She put on a large robe and slippers before coming to open the door. When she saw the strange woman outside, she subconsciously wanted to close the door.
Li Xi quickly pressed on the door and said with a smile, “Miss He? I’m President Jing’s Secretary, Li Xi. President Jing asked me to bring you your meal.”

She looked at Li Xi in confusion and asked with a frown, “What’s the matter?”
“Nothing much.” Li Xi had a smile on her face, but her eyes were full of scorn. “I’m just curious about your relationship with President Jing.”
“I’m afraid this is none of your business.” He Miao furrowed her brows in frustration. She had been hungry the whole night and now she needed to eat. This woman was actually finding trouble for her at this time!
This was the Secretary Jing Yan sent!
He Miao was angry, and her calm expression cracked.
Li Xi mistook her anger for embarrassment. She was more and more certain that she had been pestering President Jing on purpose, and that President Jing had taken care of her only because her father had mentioned Old Master Jing.

“I believe you, I believe you.” He Miao’s mood brightened up after hearing the biggest joke in the world. She complimented her on her wicked heart, “I believe that you are the future Madam Jing. In that case, I don’t dare to eat the food you sent. Why don’t you help me bring it back to Jing Yan? You two can have dinner together.”
Li Xi thought about it carefully. She was looking forward to the development of her plot with Jing Yan. She could not help but be moved. “Do you really think so?”
“Yup,” He Miao raised her eyebrows and sent her off. “You can go back first, then. I’ll just eat something at home. Take care. I won’t send you off.”
After closing the door, He Miao’s expression turned cold. She went to the kitchen and cooked two dishes to fill her stomach, then lay on the bed, waiting for Jing Yan’s news.
In the bedroom, Jing Yan was sprawled on the bed, staring at He Miao in a daze. When he was locked in the bedroom just now, he had heard the conversation between the two of them clearly. Now, he looked at He Miao with a somewhat sad expression.
