82 Causing Trouble
Grandpa Jing put down the newspaper with a smile. “Miaomiao must have eaten with her classmates. Let’s eat by ourselves then.”
Jing Yan pursed his lips and sat at the dining table unhappily, picking up his bowl without any appetite.
Thinking of something, Jing Yan suddenly put down his chopsticks and went upstairs. As soon as he opened the door, the stupid dog, who had been locked in the room all day, jumped at him excitedly.
He squatted down and patted its head as if he was venting his anger. “Your master doesn’t care about you anymore! And you’re still making a scene here! Stupid dog!”
He returned to He Miao’s room and brought the bowl of dog food over, placing it in front of Onion.
After becoming this stupid dog, he did not want to eat for it. He had to feed it now.
When the butler came upstairs and saw the open door of Jing Yan’s room, he was stunned for a moment. When he walked over, he saw Jing Yan feeding He Miao’s dog with a gentle expression on his face. “The Old Master asked you to come down for dinner.”
“I know.” Jing Yan stood up, locked the stupid dog in his room, and went downstairs to eat his dinner without any expression.
Grandpa Jing pretended not to notice his angry face. After dinner, he sat on the sofa and watched the news on TV.
It was getting late, and Jing Yan, who was watching TV with the old man, could not sit still anymore. He got up and said “good night” before going back to his room. He washed up, closed his eyes, and lay down.
When he opened his eyes again, he had already become the stupid dog in the room.
He looked at the clock on the wall, and the resentment in his heart grew stronger. He stomped his dog legs to open the door, and when he walked out of the room, he gently stomped his hind legs to close the door. Then he sat at the top of the stairs, waiting, and stared downstairs with what he thought was a cold gaze.
As the night grew darker, Jing Yan finally heard the door open downstairs. His stiff body trembled and he paced up and down the stairs anxiously.
Grandpa Jing had been waiting downstairs for He Miao to come back and watch Jing Yan make a fool of himself. Who knew that He Miao would go to bed earlier than him?
Grandpa Jing shook his head, bored. He asked He Miao about the rental of the house out of concern, and when he heard that she had paid the rent and signed the contract, he went back to his room to sleep.
Jing Yan naturally heard He Miao’s words as well. He stared deeply in He Miao’s direction, his heart feeling like it was being squeezed by someone.
He Miao accompanied Grandpa Jing upstairs and saw Onion waiting for her at the top of the stairs. She ran over to hug the puppy, whose eyes were wet. When she saw Onion looking up at her pitifully, she said, “It’s all my fault. Did Onion eat well?”
The butler stood behind her and answered for Onion, ” “Young Master Jing has already fed it.”
He Miao was stunned for a moment before looking dazedly at Onion, who had turned his head away and was throwing a tantrum at her. She reached out and patted its head, then smiled at the butler. “Help me thank him.”
The butler shrewdly caught a glimpse of the Old Master’s eyes and immediately understood. “Young Master has already fallen asleep. Miss He, you should talk to him tomorrow.”
He Miao nodded and walked Grandpa Jing back to his room to rest before returning to her own.
They were moving out tomorrow, so He Miao did not bring everything out. She only put the things she needed to wash up in the bathroom.
She took a quick shower and came out with her wet hair dry. She saw her things being pulled out of her suitcase by Onion and thrown all over the floor.
She smacked Onion’s butt as if she was punishing him and lectured him. “When did you learn how to make a mess? Don’t mess around!”
Jing Yan glared at her in dissatisfaction. He had made up his mind not to let her move out of the Jing family house so easily. That was why he had naughtily scattered her things all over the house. It would be best if it was so messy that she was too lazy to clean it up, so that she could only stay in the Jing family house tomorrow.
However, his hopes were obviously unrealistic. After He Miao taught him a lesson,s he quickly packed her things and zipped up her suitcase to prevent him from touching it.
Jing Yan glared at her hatefully and refused to sleep on the bed with her. He curled up in the nest beside the bed, turned his back to He Miao, and faced his butt at him, refusing to talk to her.
He Miao did not force it. She was exhausted after cleaning the house for the whole afternoon. She fell asleep very quickly on the bed.
Seeing that she was fast asleep, Jing Yan climbed into bed unwillingly. He moved his dog body, found a comfortable position beside her, and closed his eyes to sleep.
