"Okay, so the thing is, you need to control your powers," Nath whispered into Elliana’s ears, and she nodded with full concentration, ready to hear his next words that might change how she does things these days.
Those words never came. After waiting for a few seconds, Elliana looked up at Nath, questioningly, only to be met with his amused smile, and a scowl appeared on her face.
"Seriously?" She murmured with an amused smile of herself.
"What? I couldn’t control myself from teasing you. You are such a cutie," Nath rubbed Elliana’s cheeks, and she sighed.
"On a serious note, let me teach you a way to control your anger. If your emotions, especially your anger are in control, you will be able to keep a good grip on your powers and won’t react so easily," Nath said and walked behind her.
He held her hands from behind before raising them in the air. He joined her hands like she was praying and asked her to lift her right leg and place it on the inner thigh of her left leg.
"Woah, what are you doing?" Elliana almost lost balance but Nath held her in place.
"This is an Indian yoga pose. It’s great for improving your connection with your inner self, meditation, and calmness," Nath said, and Elliana wobbled on her left foot before placing her right leg down.
"It’s very difficult," Elliana thinned her lips, and Nath smiled.
"I know, sweetheart. It’s different from sitting on the rooftop and meditating. You will fall, and your body will probably ache like nothing before. But once you achieve this and start doing it for an hour daily, you will feel the change in yourself," Nath kept standing behind her, his chest almost touching her.
However, since he was teaching her like a teacher and friend, none of them minded it. The proximity wasn’t worth scowling over anyways.
He placed his hand on her shoulders and leaned forward.
"Elliana, while I am teaching you these poses to increase your meditation and stuff, I might have to touch you a bit inappropriately. Please don’t mind it," Nath clarified in case Elliana starts feeling uncomfortable around him, and she hummed.
"As long as you are not touching my lady party like my titties and womanhood directly, and warn me about your touch and be careful and mindful, I won’t mind them," Elliana said, and Nath’s hand on her waist froze.
She really has no filter on her mouth these days, does she? He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, stepping away from her.
He walked in front of her and smacked her head.
"Oww! What was that for?" Elliana scowled and pouted.
"That was for the kind of words you use so casually," Nath said and held her shoulders to keep her pose constant.
"Lift your leg and practice it for a minute. I will help you with that daily. We will learn about new asanas when you at least reach the mediocre level of this one," Nath said.
Elliana looked at her feet and then lifted her leg slowly, almost wobbling again.
"Hold me and don’t let me fall, okay?" she said mindlessly, not even realizing the kind of impact her words had on Nath, who smiled inwardly.
I will never let you fall, my love. Not when you are everything my world stands on. Nath thought before taking a deep breath.
He looked at the sky and realized he needed to go back soon or he wouldn’t be able to attend the meeting of the witches and angering his father at a time like this was the last thing he wanted to do.
"Keep practicing this, my love. I will return tomorrow," Nath ruffled her hair and Elliana lost her balance, falling backward, but Nath held her hand right in time before her body could touch the ground.
"I won’t let you fall," He mused.
"You did it deliberately," Elliana accused, and he smiled.
"Yeah? Maybe I did. What are you going to do about it?"
"Huh, leave it. Anyway, you are leaving quite early today," she sat on the ground, and he mimicked her position.
"Are you sad that I am leaving already? Weren’t you the one who wanted to send me because someone would see me?"
"But you said no one will, didn’t you? It’s just, you are my friend and when I feel alone, I feel like having some fun with you. Like old times," Elliana shrugged, and Nath looked at her face before smiling.
Don’t worry, Elliana. You won’t feel alone for a long time. I will keep bugging you and fill you with my love until you would want to spend all of your time with me. I am just waiting for Sebastian to make one wrong move so that I can take you away already. Nath thought before shaking his head to come out of his thoughts.
"I have to go to a meeting. I’ll be back," Nath suppressed the urge to kiss her forehead. He sighed and ruffled her hair once again before disappearing.
It was calm once again. Elliana looked at the empty space beside her and then moved her gaze to the lake. It was the same lake that was filled with sorrows. Sorrow of death, despair, helplessness, and anguish.
Will she feel the same thing when she touches the lake again? Or was there any improvement in it? Elliana wandered in a daze and scooted closer to the water body.
It was so ironic. Such a beautiful lake was filled with such sadness. Elliana sighed.
"Let me feel you," She whispered to herself and was about to place her hand in the water body when she heard some shuffling in front of her.
Her eyes narrowed into slits.
It wasn’t just her imagination, right? Elliana stood alert from her place, ready to see what it was.
The rustling of leaves came again, and she narrowed her eyes.
"Who is there? Show yourself," she said warily.
Who could be near this lake? This place was guarded by the vampire security force, right? Maybe it was one of the security forces who were just checking how things were. She nodded at herself and was about to scoot down again when she saw it.
Dark hazel eyes looked back at her from between the bushes.
There was no way these were the eyes of a vampire. These belong to a predator and a very angry one at that. The saliva dripping from his teeth as he looked at her hungrily was a clear indication that she needed to run.
Elliana stepped back cautiously, her eyes widening in shock as she stumbled.
"No. No. Please don’t come near me. Stay away from me," Elliana whispered, her eyes not moving away from the creature in front of her.
