He stood up and picked up the golden lion statue from the hands of the two young ones. Despite its warmth, Mana was constantly surging within it. Chen Jiuge exclaimed in shock, "A Lionman’s heritage?"
Gazing at the two pitiful young ones looking up at him, Chen Jiuge revealed a cold smile. "With such meager achievements in battle, you still have the nerve to take things?"
Compared to other Spiritual Beasts, these two had only slain a dozen or so True Immortal Beastmen, all of them the weakest kinds, like ratmen and birdmen—hardly achievements worth boasting about.
Tian Que resentfully averted his gaze, full of regret. He had been foolish to listen to Da Bai; now his Spirit Stones were gone.
As Chen Jiuge prepared to leave, Li SuiFeng approached him. "Jiuge, I almost forgot something. Ba Tianba asked me to inquire whether his daughter is still with you."
Chen Jiuge nodded. "She is."
"That’s good. In a while, he will visit your Shadowhorn City with his Daoist couple."
"Also, the Sect will have other rewards for you this time. He should bring them along when the time comes."
"Actually, it’s not necessary. The Sect, in its early stages of development, also needs many resources. I’m not lacking anything right now," Chen Jiuge said, shaking his head.

"Those two are also among the strong in the Asura Clan. You don’t need to be so modest."
"Let’s hear it then," Chen Jiuge did not immediately refuse.
"No rush, no rush," Ming Huayu said with a light smile. "The time isn’t right yet. I can only say it’s related to the upcoming Great War. The Myriad Beasts Sect’s strength is quite remarkable; they will certainly participate. A mere Beastman Territory can’t accommodate so many powerful beings."

Chen Jiuge gave a rueful smile. I’ve been foolish. How could anything happen to the ancestral land?
Leaving aside the powerful Asuras residing within, even the Asuras abroad wouldn’t allow any misfortune to befall their ancestral land, for it symbolizes the clan. Whatever their ideals, they could not let their ancestral land perish.
Unless their ideal was to be an exterminator of their own clan.
「Myriad Beasts Sect - Simple Reception Hall」

Tian Xing’s face turned gloomy. "What’s going on with Qu Changlin?"
In a low voice, Jun Linseng said, "It was Qu Changlin’s orders. Initially, the Netherworld King Clan’s Commander disdained collecting lower-tier resources. But because of Qu Changlin’s commands, those vassal races of the Netherworld King Clan scoured the land clean."
"That bastard! Such a person is simply a waste of the Sect’s nurturing resources!" Tian Huo erupted, smashing the table to pieces.
