Lu Mian felt uncomfortable under his gaze, shook her short hair lightly, and gently “Hmm” in response. Images of being embraced by him with his hand wrapped around her kept popping up in her mind, and seeing Xiao Qimo now just made it more intense.

His fingers with well-defined joints moved methodically, and though there weren’t many buttons, Lu Mian felt as though he took half an hour. Whenever his fingertips brushed her sweater, she would tense up completely.
When the button at the collar was secured, Lu Mian turned her head and quietly sighed in relief.
Such subtle changes did not escape Xiao Qimo’s eyes; the corners of his lips curved into a barely perceptible smile, elegant and restrained.
Is the little rascal getting nervous?
Taking advantage of Lu Mian’s distraction, he turned his head to remove his own scarf and draped it inside Lu Mian’s collar.
The scarf clearly carried the man’s warmth, a bit hot, and Lu Mian immediately snapped back to reality.
She wanted to say it wasn’t necessary, that she wasn’t used to wearing it, but when she tried to take it off, Xiao Qimo pressed her hand down and wrapped the scarf around her one more time.
Chief Xiao Qimo acted with authority, “Keep it on properly.”
“But I’m not used to it,” she said, frowning.
The man pushed up his glasses and gave her a deep look, his tone as cool as if he had just returned from outside, “What’s wrong? You can wear Yu’s jacket, but you can’t wear my scarf?”
“…” Lu Mian opened her mouth but couldn’t speak.
What is he even talking about? It always feels like Chief Qimo’s words have some hidden meaning…

Pudge and Shouhao spotted her in the cafe and hurried out to greet her.
“Mian bro!” After two crisp greetings, they noticed Sui Yuan.
“Yuanyuan sis! You’re here too!”
“I’m so happy! I didn’t properly thank you for your notes last time!”
Sui Yuan got startled by their enthusiasm and moved two steps closer to Lu Mian, shyly greeting them: “Hello.”

Sui Yuan nodded her head, still feeling quite embarrassed.
Lu Mian took Sui Yuan under her wing and playfully kicked both Pudge and Shouhao lightly, scolding, “Don’t tease her!”
The brothers immediately behaved themselves, well aware of how protective Mian bro was of Sui Yuan.
The outside temperature was okay, but it was windy.
