Wenyan nodded: “I looked it up online. A crew of an upcoming director is recruiting new actors, and I plan to go for an audition. They’re mainly looking for newcomers this time, so someone with as little experience as me is just right.”
“Really? Which director is it? Tell me and I’ll see if I have any connections with him.”
“Mom, I know you want to pave the way for me, but, the director specifically wants new actors this time to avoid nepotism because he values the quality of the work more. If everyone is a nepotism hire or a big name who won’t listen to him, it would bring down the quality of the production. So, if you stepped in for me, it might backfire.”
“Alright then,” Su Yang caressed Wenyan’s head affectionately, “You go ahead with this audition, and if you encounter any obstacles, just tell us, your parents.”
“I will. The registration ends tomorrow, so I need to submit my audition material today. My camera is at the apartment, and I’m planning to go there and might stay the night.”
“Are you planning to make the video yourself? Why don’t you come to my studio instead, and let my studio’s photographer shoot it for you?”
“No need, Mom. It’s just basic information; having your studio’s photographer get involved would be overkill.”

She took a look and smiled at Wenyan: “It’s Zhirou calling, I’ll take this call.”
Wenyan nodded: “Then, I’ll go pack my things in my room.”
When Wenyan came down with a small suitcase ready, Su Yang was still on the phone with Shen Zhirou.
Not wanting to disturb her, Wenyan whispered a goodbye and headed out.
Su Yang wanted to ask about the suitcase in her hand but couldn’t due to Shen Zhirou on the phone not giving her a chance to talk.

Wenyan arrived in the garage with her suitcase, looking at the flamboyant Porsche in front of her, scratching her head.
First, being so ostentatious really wasn’t her style. Second, she was a country bumpkin unaccustomed to the world, and using this car for commuting didn’t seem very comfortable.
She might sell it and get a low-key Mercedes-Benz instead.
After fumbling around for a while, Wenyan finally managed to drive the car away, attracting quite a few stares along the way.
Once she reached the downtown apartment, she didn’t bother getting used to the new home. After changing into a form-fitting yoga outfit, she set up the camera.
For the audition materials, the director required the actors to be bare-faced, clearly showing their facial features without using colored contact lenses or high heels, and to show their front, side, and back.

This body had a great figure and met the current standards for a female actor’s height and weight.
