Ling Momo naturally knew he was hinting at the incident where she stopped singing halfway through the competition. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say, but what she hadn’t expected, was that her manager was actually Li Qingshen. She could clearly remember that just last night, he was so angry that he slapped her! Wasn’t he angry anymore?
Now he was even personally taking her to the ES company matters. Ling Momo couldn’t help but imagine just how miserable her following days would be!

Seeing that Ling Momo was not speaking, the lead of ES gestured towards the office door with his chin, "Go in." Then, he turned around and left.
Ling Momo reached out and gently knocked on the door, feeling suddenly nervous inside. Just as she was about to take a deep breath and adjust her mindset, a light voice came from inside, "Come in."
Ling Momo pushed the door open and entered.
Li Qingshen was sitting quietly on the sofa, holding a black phone in his hand, occasionally stretching out his finger to lightly tap on it a couple of times.
He seemed to be studying something with an exceptionally focused expression. His perfectly contoured side face was calm and stunning. His long eyelashes slightly drooped, casting beautiful shadows under his eyes, his nose was straight, and his lips naturally closed, making Ling Momo feel an unexpected softness.
He was wearing a simple grey shirt today, with the sleeves rolled up. Three buttons on the chest were undone, subtly revealing his graceful collarbones.
He appeared casual yet elegant, like a surreal painting.
Ling Momo couldn’t help but stare at the scene in front of her, slightly lost in a daze. His every casual pose could intoxicate someone, and Ling Momo even forgot to speak.
Li Qingshen continued to flip through his phone as if searching for something. After about half a minute, a faint gleam flashed across his eyes, and he gently tapped once more before placing the phone on the table beside him. He turned his head and looked toward Ling Momo, who was standing by the door. His gaze softened slightly. However, it was only for an instant, and soon his eyes returned to calm. He cleared his throat, waking Ling Momo from her daze.
Ling Momo, remembering the slap she had received from him the night before, couldn’t help but feel nervous. After hesitating for a moment, she stepped forward and spoke obediently, "Teacher."
Li Qingshen stood up, pointed to the sofa in front of him, and gestured for her to sit down, "Sit."
Ling Momo did as told and sat down, her demeanor proper and respectful, while Li Qingshen went to one side and brewed two cups of black tea, handing one of them to Ling Momo.

Li Qingshen nodded, holding the other cup of black tea, and sat opposite Ling Momo, his eyes fixed steadily on her face.
Her left cheek was no longer so swollen, so red. Yet, there still was a faint trace remaining.
A trace of guilt and annoyance unavoidably surfaced in Li Qingshen’s eyes as he looked at Ling Momo and slowly began, "Did you know that ES is looking to recruit and heavily invest in new talent?"
