Su Ping, who had now calmed down, spoke in a business-like tone, “What are you thanking me for? I would have saved you even if you were just a friend. You’re my brother’s brother-in-law, and I would have done anything to get you out of danger!”

Qin Zhenzhen followed closely behind them, making sure to take the knife with her. She thought they might be able to trace the culprit through it. She was certain that those men were disguised as robbers, but their true intention was to kidnap her.
The question remained: who sent them?
The prime suspects were either the Madame of the Marquis’ Mansion or the Jiang Family from the capital. However, Qin Zhenzhen leaned towards the latter as being more likely.
She suspected that the Jiang Family intended to kidnap her to determine if she possessed any special abilities or physique. If she did, they would never let her go.
