The Player's POV Chapter 116

As if he had just heard the joke of the century, the creditor burst into laughter.

To the point that a few tears even flowed from the corners of his eyes.

Anderson remained as he was, standing there, not moving at all, and keeping the most honest expression possible.

And then, when he no longer felt amused, the creditor’s eyes now held only contempt and sarcasm.

"Are you kidding me?"

Anderson shook his head.

"In my eyes, you’re really kidding. You haven’t even paid your debt yet, and you’re already asking for 500,000 dollars? What do you think we are? Money trees?"

The dagger in the creditor’s hand began to tighten.

"I’m not kidding, sir."

But, Anderson still didn’t look like a scared person at all.

"I really want more money, because I need more money so I can continue gambling and make more money, right?"

That was a perfect lie.

Anderson used to be a gambling addict, and it was only when his mother fell ill that he stopped.

But, deep down inside, Anderson was still an addict.

And these gangsters definitely knew that.

Hearing that, the creditor’s lips curled up slightly, finding Anderson quite interesting.

He was exactly the type of person the creditor liked the most.

"But what if you take the money and run away?"

"You know my home address, sir. And you also know that my mother is the person I value the most, right?"

The creditor rubbed his chin.

The hand holding the dagger also relaxed a lot.

"And what will you do if you don’t have enough money to pay the debt?"

Anderson smiled gently, but the words that came out of him were like those of a demon:

"I will sell you the house I live in, as well as my mother and myself. The internal organs in our bodies will definitely be enough to pay the debt, right?"

The creditor curled his lips slightly.

"You even dare to sell your own mother? It seems you have quite a bit of confidence in yourself, huh?"

"I can lend you 500,000 dollars."

Judging from the way the creditor spoke, as well as his expression, it seemed that his intention to kill Anderson had already disappeared.

"However, that’s still a huge amount of money, and I need to discuss it with my superiors first."

Then, the loan shark turned away.

"You stay here and wait for the news."

With that, he slowly walked out of the alley, not realizing that Hans had slipped into his shadow in the blink of an eye.

That’s how loan sharks operated.

They didn’t hesitate to lend money to people, no matter how poor they were.

They were not afraid that they would lose money.

Because they knew that the internal organs in those people’s bodies were more than enough to pay off the debt.

But lending a large sum of money to a debtor was not something that ordinary loan sharks could decide.

They needed to report to their superiors.

And to do that, those loan sharks had to go to their headquarters.

That’s Hans Varun’s plan.

Rather than wasting time trying to figure out where that place was, wouldn’t it be faster to just follow a creditor?

The creditor stopped, and then started looking around, feeling as if he was being watched.

This was already the 42nd time he had done this.

But, just like the previous times, he didn’t find anything suspicious.

"Am I overthinking it?"

The creditor felt quite puzzled, but he didn’t have much time to figure out the reason.

Shaking his head a few times, he continued to advance deeper into the forest.

Yes, this creditor was heading towards their lair.

And that place was deep in a dense forest.

That’s why no matter what the guards did, finding their lair was still a very difficult task.

Especially since all the members of the gang were masters at cutting off tails and erasing traces.

Finally, the creditor stopped in front of the entrance of a cave, which was being guarded by two guards.

Seeing the creditor, the two of them spoke at the same time.

Having confirmed these two things, the two guards immediately moved aside.

The creditor walked inside.

The smile on his face became brighter as he recalled what had happened this morning.

If the creditor did a good job this time, it was not impossible for him to be promoted.

With that thought in mind, he began to hum a pleasant tune in his mouth.

So calm that he didn’t even notice that death was getting closer than ever.

Behind him, from within the darkness, a cold silver light flashed.

And then, the next moment, the creditor’s head fell to the ground.

It was such a great slash that Hans’s blade didn’t even have a trace of blood on it.

Then, the protagonist looked deep into the darkness.

In just one night, the entire gang had been eliminated.

When the guards arrived after hearing the continuous explosions there, everything had turned to a pile of dust.

Almost the entire area had been flattened.

To the point that they couldn’t find even a single corpse, or a trace of blood.

Staring at today’s newspaper, Anderson couldn’t help but widen his eyes in horror.

"How did you do this, Hans?"

He knew that Hans was trustworthy, but even in his dreams, he would never have imagined that the protagonist would possess such insane power.

In Anderson’s eyes at this moment, Hans was truly like a god.

The protagonist, leaning against a wall, replied indifferently:

Then, he looked straight into Anderson’s eyes.

"And since those gangsters have been eliminated, then my job here is probably done, right?"

Hans placed a hand on the man’s shoulder.

"From now on, try to be a good person. Don’t betray your mother’s trust."

Anderson had never been lectured by a younger person.

However, the man didn’t hate it.

The protagonist slowly stood up, turning his back to the man.

"Starting from zero is definitely much easier than starting from negative numbers, right?"

"...Thank you, Hans Varun. Thank you very much."

The protagonist clearly paused.

That feeling was welling up in his chest again.

Then, a gentle smile like a summer breeze appeared on the corner of Hans’s lips.

Perhaps he really liked this feeling, the feeling of someone saying thank you so sincerely.

"It’s nothing. Live well, Anderson."
