The RV drove smoothly, having left the Zombie Tide behind. Zombies seemed to vanish without a trace, none unexpectedly bursting out on the road.

He looked at the ruins inside the town and turned to ask Hua Mi,
"Should we build a small Oasis here?"

"It's not possible here; this area is a vacuum zone, likely situated between the Zombie Tide and the Mutant Beasts."
"Though there are no zombies or Mutant Beasts showing up, equally, no survivors can enter."
Mutant Beasts ate living creatures, not zombies.
Although zombies would also eat Mutant Beasts, once zombies approached Mutant Beasts, they would be torn to shreds.
Over time, a vacuum zone would form between the Zombie Tide and the Mutant Beasts.
Survivors surely couldn't survive in such a vacuum zone, as entering meant being sandwiched between Mutant Beasts and the Zombie Tide.
Once spotted by both groups, it would trigger a chaotic battle.
Building a small Oasis in such a place, even with a strong electric fence, would be useless.
Gong Yi asked Hua Mi, "Then shall we continue towards city E?"
Hua Mi shook her head again,
"Let's stop here. We can't get into city E easily; we'll have to fight our way in."
"We arrived here, and we're bound to attract zombies and Mutant Beasts, so let's see what demons or creatures come to us tonight."
Neither Gong Yi nor Lin Zhigang refuted her words.
Lin Zhigang got off the RV, managing the drone Hua Mi had provided, and began to observe the vicinity from high above for any abnormalities.

"Doctor Lin, aren't you setting up a small Oasis here?"
"How about we collaborate? I'll build Oasis right within this small secure zone, and you handle the electric fencing, how does that sound?"
