Hua Ren stood, smiling softly even though it could not be seen due to his mask. "I live to serve Your Majesty. This humble servant of yours needs nothing."
What he truly wanted, he knew his Majesty could not give.
"Not again," The Emperor groaned. It was the same thing Hua Ren always said to him. "Mention what you want, General. Is it land? Money? Food? Betas? Omegas? Whatever it is, this Emperor shall give you."
"Your Majesty has already bestowed me with vast lands, enough money, food and countless Omegas." Hua Ren said. "This humble servant of yours needs nothing. My life is devoted to serving Your Majesty."
He truly didn't need anything materialistic from the Emperor. What he needed was impossible to get. He knew it since the day he set his eyes on the Emperor after joining the army. Still, it didn't stop him from harbouring feelings, having desires. He raised his head, sneaking a peak at the handsome face of the Emperor. The Emperor was frowning due to his answer but he still looked extremely handsome.
Hua Ren's heart began to beat faster and he lowered his head so no one would see him blush.
What he truly wanted was the Emperor's heart.
"Your Majesty, just send him gifts and Omegas as you usually do. We all know how stubborn the General is. He will never request for anything." The personal advisor said to the King. He was a short man with dark hair and dark eyes. A beta with bland features but highly intelligent.
Hua Ren was always jealous of the personal advisor because he gets to be around the Emperor all the time, whereas he, could go months without seeing the Emperor. Especially when there's a battle.
"What's the use of giving him all those pretty Omegas?" A general asked, standing up. "General Hua Ren has not touched a single one. Tch. Such a waste."
Hua Ren recognised the speaker as General Hei Long, also known as The Berserker. A large muscled Alpha with shaggy dark hair and one eye. The other was covered with an eye patch. Rumours had it that he lost the eye to a wild beast when he went hunting. He always wore a black and red armour with a large sword resting on his waist.
He was a man who was always thirsty for battle and blood. Although he was a formidable warrior, the Emperor hardly ever lets him into battle because he tended to go crazy, killing or seriously injuring his own soldiers while battling with the enemy. He had few achievements which could be counted on one hand.
"Is this true?" The Emperor asked Hua Ren, regarding General Hei Long's comment. "I thought the Ivory Warlord would have a lot of children by now."
This elicited bubbles of laughter from the people in the Hall. If only His Majesty knew of the things said about his White General, he would not expect any children.
Hua Ren still kept a straight face. "I have no interest in fathering a child, Your Majesty. I do not wish to have anything that would distract me from properly carrying out your orders."
It seemed like the Emperor was pleased with Hua Ren's answer for he smiled. What a true devotee.
General Hei Long scoffed. "No one is telling you to become a father immediately. Indulging yourself in pleasures of the flesh will not distract you in any way. Everyone does it. It is natural, especially for we Alphas when our rut comes. You're just keeping all those pretty omegas cooped up in your home. I bet they suffer a lot in their heat."
"If only he could touch them." Another General said. This time, an Alpha female, Yin Mei. She regarded Hua Ren with teasing eyes. "The Warlord is a shy man, Hei Long. I heard that he has never held the hand of a single Omega. Some say that he holds no desires in this world. Those beauties are just wasting away in his home."
"Right. Just share them with your fellow Alpha Generals okay?" General Hei Long said, nodding his head. I, Yin Mei, and Zhen Shu are very willing to take care of them for you."
Hua Ren heard them all, but refused to utter a single word. He had heard and seen all the disgusting things the Generals did to omegas. Yin Mei in particular. She was also known as the Whispering Blade. She was so proficient in weilding blades that one wouldn't even know he was dead when she swung her blade. Not until the head falls to the floor.
He heard that even though she had already found her mate, she still liked to mark other omegas, binding them to her.
It was like stripping them of their rights which was downright evil. The omegas she marked would not be able to be with their true mates and he hated her for it.
The Emperor sighed. It seemed like the other Generals were jealous of the countless beauties he sent to the White General's home. Well, none of them were as devoted to him and as valuable as the Ivory Warlord. The man hung to his every word and carried out every task. He was like his puppet. If he said kill, the Warlord would kill. No questions asked. He was never wrong in the Warlord's eyes.
Still, he didn't know what to else to give the him. He had already bestowed him numerous titles and awards of honor. All he could do was send him more money and more beauties.
"I'll send some servants to deliver some boxes of gold to your home. You can do with the Omegas as you wish." He said, leaning back in his throne. "This Emperor has no interest in what you do with them. Now, let us listen to next report."
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Hua Ren said with a bow disregarding the smiles, stares, whispers and comments of the others and the Generals. Only the Emperor's words mattered to him. He lived to carry out the Emperor's wishes.
Hua Ren sighed. He knew the topic of his lack of desires would surely come up. That Beserker had been itching to mention it for months. He finally saw an opportunity and took it. Hua Ren just wished it wasn't in front of the Emperor.
And who said he lacks desires? He had them. A lot. It's just that no omega could satisfy him. Only an Alpha could.
After all, how could an Omega relieve another Omega?
