“I wrote it a while back, before I even knew who Ye was. How was I supposed to predict the future and know that writing a song for a friend would upset your precious Ye?”

Fu Zhuo cleared his throat, “Miss Ye, it’s not personal. I just… I hope things between you and Ye go well too. If you ever want to know Ye’s schedule, you can ask me directly.”
Ye Xingguang was fuming, “Why would I want to know his schedule?”
“Don’t all women want to know their men’s schedules? To find the best time to call him, I could be your inside man.”
“Thanks, but no thanks!”
After she said that, Ye Xingguang strutted off. She wanted to go to the restroom, to pull herself together after the mood shift.
Fu Zhuo didn’t succeed in getting into her good books, which left him rather frustrated. So many girls had tried to win him over in the past, hoping to get Ye’s schedule, but he had always ignored them. Now, for the first time, he was the one trying to win someone over… only for her to refuse!

Fu Zhuo pondered, “Why does that name sound familiar?”
Something flickered in Xiao Yun’s eyes, “You’ve heard this name before? Where?”
Since Mr. Ye had been so fond of the song, even making the driver play it in the car, Fu Zhuo got the nagging feeling it held a deeper meaning for him. But to learn the song was written for Qin Jun Ye, what was Mr. Ye thinking before?
Fu Zhuo thought for a while, “Can’t recall at the moment. Such a common name, there must be dozens or even hundreds of them around the country?”
Xiao Yun said, “About eighty Qin Jun Ye’s passed away ten years ago. Think carefully. If you remember anything, let me know.”
Fu Zhuo said, “Alright, I’ll get back to work for now.”
After Ye Junqing finished his speech, he came backstage to find Ye Xingguang. She was in the dressing room changing out of her performance costume, a dress her mother had custom-made for her recently. She carefully tried to undo the zipper at the back, but to no avail.
Someone knocked at the door of the dressing room while she was struggling with the zipper. She yelled out while continuing her struggle, “Who is it?”
“It’s me,” the voice of Ye Junqing.
“Hold on, I’m changing.”
After fruitless efforts with the zipper, Ye Xingguang gave up. She briskly walked towards the door, opening it just a crack, “Come in. I need help with the zipper. I can’t seem to undo it.”
Once Ye Junqing stepped inside on the carpeted floor, she immediately locked the door, then turned her back towards him.
Ye Junqing stared at her beautiful back, feeling a pang of melancholy. This woman was asking him to help her undress. Did she not realize what it meant for a man to help a woman undress?
