Chapter 398: The State Has Assigned Him a Mermaid!_1
Upon hearing this, Ye Xingguang immediately recalled the scenes from last night, far too hot-under-the-collar to speak, wishing that she could send the damn man flying with a kick.
Feeling both angry and embarrassed, she said, “Shut up! Did you happen to apprentice at a hair salon? How did you develop your massage skills to be even better than those of the staff there?”
“I learned from a masseuse.”
In the past, a certain mermaid was particularly fond of scalp massages, always frequenting a specific hair salon. Ironically, all the apprentices there, who had no other talents, were exceptionally adept at flirting with her, much to his fury!
Eventually, he forbade her from going to the hair salon for shampoos. Instead, he would wash her hair for her.
But she protested, claiming that he didn’t know how to massage her scalp properly, making it far from comfortable. Her nagging almost provoked him into bopping her one.
Despite his annoyance, he didn’t want her to be flirted with by the salon apprentices, so he had no choice but to learn scalp massage from a masseuse. Finally, this pleasure-seeking mermaid was satisfied!
Ye Xingguang was curious, “Why did you learn from a masseuse?”
“Someone heartless liked it.”
Ye Xingguang nearly jumped out of her skin. She’d given her all last night, and this man was still hung up on his first love?
Ye Xingguang pushed him away, “I don’t need your massage. I’ll dry my hair by myself.”
Everything he’s done for others in the past, and now doing for her loses its meaning. It’s driving her mad!
First loves are indeed annoying!
“What’s the fuss about? Sit still.” he ordered, not allowing her to fidget.
In spite of her resentment, Ye Xingguang refused to cooperate. His dominant manner had her nestled in his arm, trapped in his hold, literally on his lap. He warned, “Move again, and I’ll throw you in the water.”
Ye Xingguang gritted her teeth, “You better stop mentioning your first love in front of me. You always have her on your mind even though you know she’s heartless. How pathetic is that?”
“Jealous much?” he asked, looking at her, a smile of satisfaction in his eyes.
She too kept Qin Junye in her thoughts, and now she should understand what annoyance he felt because of that.
“Nobody is jealous! Stop being narcissistic!” But in reality, she was already deeply sunk in the sea of jealousy, struggling to swim back to shore.
It wouldn’t have mattered if it was before, but she’d given so much of herself last night, and he was still reliving memories of his past. It infuriated her to the point that even giving his thigh a twist then a hard slap couldn’t soothe her anger.
He didn’t even flinch, finding the jealous little mermaid adorable.
So, he not only helped her dry her hair but also used a hairdryer on her. Having finished, he let her go and told her to dress up.
He had brought her favorite daily wear – a plain white shirt and jeans.
Ye Xingguang took the clothes and went into the changing room. After changing, she came out and he handed her the keys to the Mermaid Swimming Pool, “From now on, this is yours. You can come and swim whenever you want.”
Ye Xingguang took the keys, forced a smile, and asked, “Is there nothing you need to ask me?”
Why was this man so calm?
It was so disappointing!
The government had assigned him a mermaid, and he was not the least bit surprised or excited. It made her suddenly feel frustrated!
“Ask what?” He held her hand.
