Outside the house, torrential downpour prevailed. Ye Junqing stood beneath the eaves, the wind and rain striking his face. Yet, they weren’t as cold as the chill in his heart.
A few bodyguards who followed him were standing by his side, clad in raincoats. They barely dared to breathe, fearing a spark could trigger a disaster. They all hoped that Fu Zhuo would arrive soon.
Fu Zhuo was slowly escorted over by Elder Gu, who was holding an umbrella over his head. He had no idea what had transpired.
He saw the lights inside the house, and yet, Junqing was standing outside the door with his hands behind his back, enveloped by loneliness. One look was enough to break Fu Zhuo’s heart.
“Junqing, is this Miss Ye’s house? Why are you standing outside in the cold instead of going inside?”
Ye Junqing said nothing, his face was somber. He was so furious that he wanted to just leave, but his feet seemed rooted to the ground. He hoped that a certain annoying girl would come out and stop him from leaving.
In his heart, he even thought that if she came out to stop him, to comfort him, he might consider forgiving her this time. But alas, he had been standing outside for a whole five minutes without anyone coming out of the house!

That damned woman had thrown him out of the house, yet he stood here still, fantasizing that she would come out and stop him from leaving.

Ye Xingguang went to her father’s wardrobe, found a clean set of clothes, and gave them to Fu Zhuo.
