“I would come to pick you up, anyway.” He wouldn’t mind reliving the experience, of her getting drunk and insisting on eating meat, all over again.
Ye Xingguang rolls her eyes, takes the initiative to cuddle his arm, rests her head on his shoulder and says, “Stop kidding around. I’ve had a tiring day already.”
“What’s troubling you?”
“Everything’s troubling me. With those people pestering me, I won’t be able to live peacefully anymore. Tell me, do you consider yourself a vampire ?”
Ye Junqing’s face tightens slightly. Noticing his displeasure, Ye Xingguang immediately corrects herself, “Hey, I’m not saying you’re a vampire. What I meant was, if you were given the chance to become a vampire, would you? To possess unlimited power, wealth, and beauties?”
“No.” His voice echoes with absolute certainty.
Ye Xingguang bites her lower lip and changes the subject: “What if you were given a chance, and not choosing to be a vampire meant losing me, would you still become one?”
“Yes.” His voice, just as unequivocally resolute, shows no hesitation.
Keep calm, control your mouth corners – don’t smirk. Man’s words are as deceitful as ghosts. Don’t fall for his words so readily!
